Another peel off idea

I was thinking about peel offs on the way home from work last night (yes sad but true) and I though how else could I use them. Then it came to me as a mask. I used the new flower head set of peel offs by Little Claire Designs

I stuck them lightly onto white paper. I tried to rub some of the sticky off the back before attaching them to the card. I used VersaFine sepia ink pad and a Stampin' Up sponge dauper for lightly add colour over the image.

I them peeled back the peel off to reveal the back image it left behind. I added diamond Stickles to the image. I tore the edges of the two flower head design panels. I added the sponge effect to a square card blank. I torn section of brown card for the background. I added both panel to the background with brads.

I attached brown ribbon across the brown card panel. I tied another piece of ribbon the the ribbon across the card. To finish I added a greeting also by Little Claire.

Yes you're right I have a new blinkie! I have just been voted Top Five on the new The Stamp Man Challenge blog. Yippee!! I'm very, very pleased.

My Top Five card

Clare's weekly challenge - pink flowers and swirls

This is my card for Clare's Weekly Challenge on the DoCrafts website. This week's challenge was sketch challenge. I rotated the sketch for my card.

I stamped the flower bouquet image with a Memento ink pad. The stamp is my Circa Designs. I coloured in the image with ProMarkers. I added highlight with Sakura pens. I stamped some of the flowers again and I used them to decorate the corners as per the sketch. I mounted the finished image onto black and gold card panels.

I chose to use a scalloped edge card blank as I thought this would complete the image and background paper. The swirl background paper is from the Henbury Lane range by DoCrafts. I attached a piece of bright pink ribbon across the background paper before I attacked it to the card blank. I tied another piece of the ribbon to the ribbon strip. To finish I added a greeting by Craftwork Cards.

Woof, woof!

Firstly I just like to welcome by new Followers, hello! I seemed to have picked up quite a few of you over the last couple of weeks.

Thank you everyone for following me.

My card for you all today features the spotty dog from one of Little Claire Designs new peel off sheets. I've really enjoyed using these peel offs. You may have seen my last items features the peel offs on Little Claire Design blog and their last newsletter.

I stuck the dog onto smooth white card. I coloured him in with ProMakers. I added gold Pearl Dimensions for his name tag.

I used circle and scalloped Nestabilities to cut out the dog. I added a peel off greeting. The bone and butterfly shape were also from the same sheet.

I cover the card blank with a panel of yellow and green patterned paper. Along the bottom of the green panel I added a row of paw prints. These were also on the same peel off sheet.

The pleated paper was created from a strip of white paper. I punch one of the long edges with my Martha Stewart flower punch. I measured 20mm and then 5mm, I did this all across the strip. I then used these measurements to fold the pleats. I used tape at the back to keep the pleats in position.

I added a strip of green card and ribbon across the paper pleats. This was then added to the card. I then added the dog image circles with foam pads.

With just one sheet of peel offs...

I made all these items! The peel offs are from a new range by Little Claire's Designs. I usually only use peel offs for greeting so I set myself a challenge to see what else I could use them for. I wanted to make some other items too rather than just cards.

My first item is a calendar for 2011. I used Nestabilitiels to cut all the squares. I wanted to use a simple colour scheme so chose a turquoise to go with the black peel offs. The flower image panel was attached with foam pads. I added black Stickles to the circles of the image and ribbon to finish.

My second item was a decorated note book. I stuck the peel off flowers on the front of the plastic cover. I used ProMarkers to colour the flowers in.

My third item is a birthday card. Both the flowers and the greeting are from the same sheet of peel offs. I stuck the flower peel offs on smooth white card and coloured them in with ProMarkers. The ovals were cut with Nestabilities. I added stitching with a white Sakura pen and pink fine liners.

My forth item is a another birthday card. I used a flower Cuttlebug embossing folder to emboss the card. The daisy head is decoupaged with foam pads.

My fifth and last item is a keyring. The rose and green background was coloured in with ProMarkers. I added green Stickles to the leaves.

It's amazing what you can do with one sheet of peel offs!

Passion for ProMarkers - week 61 challenge

This is my card for this week's Passion for ProMarkers challenge. The theme of this weeks challenge was to use 'distressing' on your card.

The stamps I used for this card are from the Summer Magnolia Stamp Club set.

I started by stamping Little Mermaid Tilda with a Memento ink pad. Using the masking technique I stamped the Seaweed around the Mermaid. I coloured in the image with ProMarkers. I added Stickles to the bubbles and Mermaid's tail to finish. I mounted this onto dark teal card.

I cut a large panel of the dark teal card for the main background. The circle paper is by DCWV.To keep with the distresses theme I tore the edges. Around the edges I used a sponge dauber, from Stampin' Up, and VersaFine sepia ink pad to add an aged distressed look.

I tore a strip of blue Whitewash Co'ordination paper. I screwed it up to and sanded it before adding it to the card. I stamped the Shells with VersaColor ink pad.

To finish I added a greeting by Craftwork Cards with foam pads. Around the edges of this I sponged the sepia colour.

A Gem of a Challenge 6

This card I'm entering into Pink Gem Designs - A Gem of a Challenge 6

Merry Christmas! I know it's a bit early but this is my first Christmas card on my blog. It's not the first Christmas card I've made this year though as I've already been using Little Claire's range as part of their DT but they are still under wraps, for now.

I began by stamping the image with a Memento ink pad. This is a stamp by Pink Gem Design called 'Milly on Reindeer'. I coloured the image in with ProMakers. I added flock to the fur areas with a Quickie Glue pen. I added various colours of Stickles to finish.

I created with snowflake background paper myself. I added a distressed look to a panel of dusty pink card with a sepia VersaFine ink pad and a Stampin' Up sponge dauber. I them stamped white snowflakes using Stampin' Up white craft ink pad.

I mounted the pink panel and the Milly on Reindeer stamped image onto silver card.

I using Nestabilites to cut the larger circle from Co'ordinations whitewash card. I used a snowflake Cuttlebug embossing folder to add the texture. To bring out the design I sanded the top of the image. I added a peel-off greeting.

To finish the card I added a strip of the dusty pink patterned paper and I stamped the Milly image again inside the card.

Passion for ProMarkers - week 60 challenge

I just noticed when I logged in that this is my 101th post! Blimey, I can't believe it's that many already as I've only been blogging since January this year. Doesn't time fly when you're having 'crafty' fun. Hello to my new Followers too!

Today's card is for this weeks Passion for ProMarkers challenge

For this challenge you had to include animals on your card. This gave me the perfect reason to use my new Snoopy stamp. So I have a dog and bird on my card. As soon as I saw this range of stamps I just had to have them.

The stamp is called 'Driving Woodstock'. It was stamped with a Memento ink pad and coloured in with ProMarkers. I used Nestabilities to cut out the image and the frame. I edged the frame with platinum Stickles.

I used WCWV patterned papers for the background. I used shades of red so it co-ordinated with the red Beetle car. For the greeting I used a metal tag with I attached to the card with brads. The greeting was a peel-off my Little Claire Designs.
