Christmas Beach Huts

These are two cards made the lovely new Christmas Beach Huts stamp launched today by Little Claire.

Both stamped images have been coloured in with ProMarkers. I have kept to a traditional colour scheme of red, white and green for both cards.

For my first card I have kept the colouring to a minimum.  The Merry Christmas background is stamped onto the card blank with red ink. I added ribbon and a bow to finish. I thought this made it look like a wrapped present.

For my second card I added more colour to the stamped image. I also added an embossed snowflake panel to the card.  The circle sentiment is also by Little Claire. To finish I added a gem and glittered snowflakes.

For more details about the stamp and your chance to win the stamp please see Little Claire's blog.

Christmas Owl Tree

These are two cards made with the new Christmas Owl Tree stamp launched this week by Little Claire.  I have used ProMarkers to colour the stamped images. I also cut around the tree as the swirl  design made an interesting shape when cut out.

But this stamp isn't just for Christmas as it makes a lovely image for any time of the year for those tricky male cards. And a great background stamp too!

For more details about the new stamp and your change to win it please see Little Claire's blog.

Teacups

This is my card for this week's Passion for ProMarkers blog challenge. The theme is 'glitter and pastels'. I have use a pastel colour scheme for my card and I added glitter to the cupcakes.

I begun by stamping the main image. The stamp set I used was Papermania's Lucy Cromwell - Teacups. I coloured the stamped image with ProMarkers.

I punched the bottom of the coloured image panel with my Martha Stewart Flower edge punch. Before adding this to the dark pink background I added a strip of ribbon. I also added a charm and ribbon bow onto the strip of ribbon. To finish I added faux stitching and gems.

Boofle birthday

This is a birthday card I made for a little boy who's name begins with a K!

I used the Boofle Patchwork Backgrounds stamp set to stamp with patchwork background and the Boofle For You stamp for the cute Boofle. I used the same techniques to create the Boofle as I did for a baby card I made. This can be seen on a previous blog post. The lettering was all cut using my Circut. To keep with the patchwork effect I added faux stitching around the K with a white gel pen.

The stamp I used for the card is Loverly Jubblies - Robert & Daisy Umbrella by Little Claire. I stamped the image with a black Memento ink pad. I coloured the image with ProMarkers. For the background I cut a panel of dark blue card, onto this I added panels of red and white card which I punched with a scalloped edge punch. Before adding to the card blank I attached strips of ribbon. To finish I added bows and gems.

Best dad

This is a birthday card I made using the Forever Friends Good Life collection paper pack.

I begun by creation the main image. This was decoupage. I attached the main background layer on to piece of dark blue card before adding the other layers. I added the layers together with foam pads.

For the background I cut pieces of patterned papers from the Good Life range and mounted them onto dark blue card. Across the centre I added a strip of denim ribbon. Before attaching all the panels to a square card blank I added ribbon and a button to two of the corners. In the other corners I added punched photo corners.

To finish the card I added greeting with foam pads, a bow, gems and my favourite faux stitching.

On a tractor

This is a Father's Day card I have made using the lovely Forever Friends Good Life range. I attached cute bear on a tractor image onto a piece of acetate. The image came with a front and a back so I attached the each piece either side of the acetate. Therefore all the double sided tape was hidden and it's different from the normal card when you only get the front of an image.

The background was created with torn stripes of green paper onto a pale blue background. I added a strip of twill tape and a bow on the front. To finish I added a greeting with foam pads.

Creativity Club event - the cards

I want to share with you today two cards I made at the DoCrafts Creativity Club day last Friday. It was held at the DoCrafts HQ near Bournemouth. I was a great day out. So lovely to meet new people and also people face-to-face who I know either through the Club or at the HQ.

I stayed in Bournemouth on Thursday evening so I didn't have a very early start on Friday. Stay at lovely hotel, The Hermitage. Had a sea view and the food was very good. I met up with other Club members (Cheremane, Janice and Naomi) and Jo and Shelia from DoCrafts and C&C TV fame, on the Thursday evening. Had such a fun evening with them. Made a great start to the Club event.

As well as crafting in the free time during the day, I also attend a focus group, social media workshop and a craft workshop. There was such a variety of things going on there was something for everyone. And a yummy bbq lunch too.

The focus group was interested to see new products that are being planned and to know more about how a new product comes about and the work involved. There were a couple of items I think I'm going to 'need'. More details about Social Media is always helpful as I'm not very adventurous at trying new things. I got some tips which will help my blog and I might even start on Twitter. I always enjoy a craft workshop. There's new techniques to try and different layouts and designs. It was a great day out. Looking forward to the next one...

The two cards I made during the day were made using printed downloads which are available to Club members.

They were Tea Party (above card) and Shabby Chic Florals Part Two (card below). I used different patterns and design from the printed sheets along with ribbons and gems.

Harbour Master

This is a Father's Day card I made using the lovely Michael Powell stamp and papers from the Forever Friends Good Life range.

I begun by stamping the image onto watercolour card with a Memento ink pad. The stamp I used was Michael Powell Tall Urban Cling Stamp - Harbour Master. I coloured the image with watercolour pencils. I mounted this onto a panel of brown card.

For the background I used papers from the Forever Friends Good Life range. The greeting tag also came from this range. I punched the edge of one of the paper with a scalloped edge punch. I also added a strip of ribbon and brads to the panels before adding to a kraft card blank. To finish I added my favourite faux stiching.

Boofle baby card

This is a baby card I made used the Boofle stamp range. I stamped the texture stamp from the Patchwork Backgrounds stamp set onto kraft and cream card with a light brown ink pad. I then stamped the Boofle For You stamp onto the cream, kraft and also brown card. These would form the sections of Boofle.

I cut out the Boofle that I had stamped onto kraft card and then added the other coloured section from the cream and brown card to complete the Boofle.

Again using the Patchwork Backgrounds stamp set I created this patterned square panel for the background of my card. I used Papermania light and dark blue ink pads to stamp the patterned and stitching.

Using the Alpha stamp set from the Boofle range I stamped the wording again using the light and dark blue ink pads. I mounted the word panel onto a panel of blue card. Around the edge I stamped the white stitching using the stitching stamp and a white ink pad.

I attached all the panel to the card blank with foam pads. To finish I added a bow and blue Dew Drops.
