This is my entry for PaperArtsy <a href="http://blog.paperartsy.co.uk/2015/07/2015-topic14-flowerschallenge.html">blog challenge #14</a>. The theme is Flowers. My canvas was inspired by <a href="http://blog.paperartsy.co.uk/2015/07/2015-14-canvas-by-anneke-de-clerck.html">Anneke De Clerk's Canvas</a>. I liked how Anneke had created all the different background layers using a variety of mediums and then finished her piece with the large flowers.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="310" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhMla28OjV9Tdzr2qbke5rJOVpWl76Q4NSEzUdecl-xS_CiwBIox-1zZSA_Kd4yLCjrr5K8ju0cO_XecLhyE6CPfwaKK55TlJjtYLJaOFXhQ9gic6QEINObKzdM10ZZNimYoVLEYAb2bE4/s320/1.jpg" width="320" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
To create my canvas I followed step from the original blog post. I added pieces of tissue, lined paper and old dictionary to a 15x15cm canvas with Multi Medium Matt. Once dry I added a layer of Gesso.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="242" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhvg_kVOW9P4qDue1VP2eyzujJvgMT0oLWEZdFq4QIBUYtKlXDkRSvetT0ormIsHnzz_tOXdjPKu1N57mdnWmpwykvst7Flqy2GQ_NpqlfIE7uMqnHDnohydXAPrBTaneMoUwcBQ4Jhd8s/s320/2.jpg" width="320" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Once the Gesso was dry I added Yellow Submarine, Sherbet and Beach Hut <a href="http://shop.paperartsy.co.uk/fresco-acrylic-paints-269-c.asp">Fresco Finish Paint</a> with an old credit card as shown below.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="189" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgTTJWr4CZItuUYqmmp5kZ7Mp4BApdpqckfeJpuPsoHwq4FqN70yC7xMorPV-2S3AV62xgcjrDhY0KyPNmTM1OOZ7RjnTiSdwSSV_AjPu7X98yZpm1AMJv_U4qGcBNhyphenhyphen7CSFl5t_hPhuYY/s320/3.jpg" width="320" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
When the paint was dry I sprayed Bubblegum Pink, Lemon Zest and Calypso Teal Dylusions ink spray onto the canvas. I also sprayed water and let the ink run.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="244" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi_js9hfXUN9Lh5wsROVPcQROlDjmayjpUVxqQSkLZzvd0rHx6dsIs1V2cePmYuqJIsS7VUiPIIhkgMlWyaYaz2YwPRrvEbgRDcwLwwG_agnU7lzAGb1JbHP_j5BW9-DhNftJcVJ5FB-TI/s320/4.jpg" width="320" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Onto the canvas I then used stamped <a href="http://shop.paperartsy.co.uk/eclectica-ellen-vargo-06-4772-p.asp">Ellen Vargo 06</a> stamp from PaperArtsy in Cobolt Archival ink pad.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="214" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhTA-0lKqFTgAtdefXBKRw7D7pa6dKZ7h81od-FDBEfQXwNPNyXEJotc-3LV2Rjd3iIe9pNafamTkWKgW4VoyGCYRz7stDtkf7AV56v3IbomlIyIV4ltqr4OCjPRPv3CBR95Z7QJDIEb5g/s320/5.jpg" width="320" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I then added Grunge Paste through a <a href="http://shop.paperartsy.co.uk/paperartsy-stencil-004-elb-4687-p.asp">PaperArtsy 004 stencil</a>. I didn't colour the Grunge Paste once it was dry as I found It had already picked up some of the colour from the canvas.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="315" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjDV65D7lqrRK9WuEw5XrIlkbMidZxk8APRRNL2EGO_0jBZxazxNjItWeulaUSK3t-wT2vRKvQLIU2FxtHNrvRdsz9wtLnMSkyx2udHF7swvXF599m-9LpB3aBp_jkzQT9oAvJ0yr3742s/s320/6.jpg" width="320" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I then painted and stamped flowerheads and stems from <a href="http://shop.paperartsy.co.uk/e-lin-brown-01-4118-p.asp">Lin Brown 01</a> stamp set with Yellow Submarine, Sherbet, Very Berry and Tinned Peas <a href="http://shop.paperartsy.co.uk/fresco-acrylic-paints-269-c.asp">Fresco Finish Paint</a>. I stamped the painted stamps onto PaperArtsy smooth card.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="179" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj3zNRcd6SShOtam8H2Y7HH_Gf0FEiUeZ2Kcq7ZFWB1OH64cgAU94uy1lJsUUZmjHyF-I6lXzDcEkjTyIaJyoBhU3-3wpDNramYklhmkRFIc2sxsAZ2z2Lkk9VXyZvYZy4BExPfHj62HQc/s320/7.jpg" width="320" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I then cut out all the flowers and stemps before attaching them to the canvas. I only attached the centre of the flowerheads and stems to the canvas as shown below.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="187" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg5dJpWiDypaeFI3a53UC3gXy8pdOKpXOlr0nBPkbhBSkFpsu2Lzly9llu56gPKDOZtj1uWt06nY0VTcPrDrjZAbyrAOaOaob0c4BQwMYyx2y2gsO16pTXIVgMgUR9CZA9Vd_bKCgnh_fU/s320/8.jpg" width="320" /> </div>

I have had some good crafty time this week. I have made two crafty items and therefore my second blog post for the week. Today I have a decorated bottle to share with you which I am entering into <a href="http://blog.paperartsy.co.uk/2015/05/2015-topic-10-bottles-challenge.html">PaperArtsy blog challenge #10</a>. The theme is Bottles. My bottle was inspired by the blog post <a href="http://blog.paperartsy.co.uk/2015/05/2015-10-blue-bottle-by-sue-carrington.html"><span style="color: #cc0000;">Blue Bottle {by Sue Carrington}</span></a>. I liked the tissue paper technique and painting onto the glass that was used by Sue so I wanted to give it a go myself.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgZqa8102VoyS5wevBGVNdtsFJssbzt50nqL4sQdnOvYphHrGJ5IFo6DjYl_tGp2R0a_ZEGO60Qv1pJX7UxvQ1LVkut4OBLmy3ASuVUOIWLVrulu0Q97MGjFC77UIQSX02z9le_B77dpdE/s400/bottle1-1.jpg" width="166" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I followed Sue's blog post on how to cover the bottle. I started by painting the beer bottle and cap with two thin coats of Mocha Mousse <a href="http://shop.paperartsy.co.uk/fresco-acrylic-paints-269-c.asp">Frecso Finish paint</a>.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjUDH_sUBzzBnZRBgTaf2JVVtpor8RKWqYeXJdl7a6l079WaN1vwlwJytfsP8CIJdADnmjsJwnNXktet_bEOnndPD2jXLFGv-tW11yhP5U9LnyjrljDmm5y_GHoqhW6m12XRwppZHMi5io/s320/bottle2-1.jpg" width="232" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Onto tissue paper I stamped the leaf and dotty paper using stamp from <a href="http://shop.paperartsy.co.uk/eclectica-darcy-11-5193-p.asp">Eclectica Darcy 11 stamp set</a> with a Jet Black Archival ink pad.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="206" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjP_MGbmyGuT8LeEbZ8DGnZgQAp5YkDORk_d5xf7DKHpty-gjKw3DUq6Ql3-TDkNbV6JYv-WphfApOO0kZSjQr5TYzTa56qwO9xjI4mfg70FMYaeBdX0BjgpJnyB-aO7niK1bvTmCY4bY/s320/bottle3-1.jpg" width="320" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I turned the tissue paper over and painted in the stamped images with Cheesecake, Pumpkin Soup, Tinned Peas, Guacamole, Beach Hut and Baltic Blue Fresco Finish paints.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="272" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi5KmEHzkiGO6uFAd8cIIdTwWcwg8R23viglCoWqDTiF6E7mAE_1LUzuB_wqZwnHfcSIdTJXsu1Q4y4KHPbwAFxyzJ0WVs5WThdvCm8p5wNBsxU2TwctcaagWjWaHDWkdTtZfnO-pBZ3EE/s320/bottle4-1.jpg" width="320" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Once dry I painted all over the back with Mocha Mousse <a href="http://shop.paperartsy.co.uk/fresco-acrylic-paints-269-c.asp">Frecso Finish paint</a>.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="248" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-r81D4umDcQIbQiA-8WfWLbGTOM5yN-oY3LWDzsqWHukrMvEJ9mAk0U-BFdeWc9UeOybuD8nf1AiR9cVK2TbzHGthaO5X9fyCyaJADvW7Kr1uzBPAav3tB4QW8lna4fkhIt3ZywaY2bE/s320/bottle5-1.jpg" width="320" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I then torn-up the tissue paper and attached it to the bottle and cap with <a href="http://www.hobbycraft.co.uk/decopatch-paperpatch-glue-varnish-300g/563849-1000">Decopatch glue</a>. I also added a layer of glue on the top on the paper and then left to dry.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjhOIj4tlUvP6FvTWEWpmYZ2vmOp0dAv3RSUBjP_i0VCZH5uk19SfqRrKPqapkJ1lpcakD2Bhk8ie3uxBLYPHCmMMSzVZncJiEI0J4tpglhw-aH6E7iKnHjqW7eGd75yrXoaIpDcssdvP0/s320/bottle6-1.jpg" width="141" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I stamped leaves and flower, again from the <a href="http://shop.paperartsy.co.uk/eclectica-darcy-11-5193-p.asp">Eclectica Darcy 11 stamp set</a> with a Jet Black Archival ink pad onot white card. I painted them in with the Fresco Finish paints. I watered down the Tinned Peas and Guacamole to make them less opaque. I tied thread around the top of the bottle and then tied on the leaves and attached the flowers.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjuMCYZkyLnmWSeM5riVAsHpcLrT1i6cZYRuJDyjs0boyGTCRYPIytRBSTxhJOYvjMJd9L0z7cc9sdEyUbYwk9_zNdPeZP29MNlbb-oTLl-Iv-E-FcZPNuJSbo41ROx-9p_j334RtbOZeU/s320/bottle7.jpg" width="152" /> </div>

I have used Pavla's technique for the Gelli Plate printed background. I have also included bottles with Blooming flowers similar to the original journal page.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgN8GzzfDNRZPEYvClHoZ3Sauv4n5WVmXkrb8-uUkv10-2Cz403UpgcZhJ4Jzj_9zKbjor_pnpqxyuizW9L2VwX8zzHkpNymGlp07Ve1R9nTWk-SI0YBcDOIoq8e6d4pMWTAyoojIMhW5E/s320/bottle1.jpg" width="319" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
To make the card I started by printing the background using my Gelli Plate. I put Inky Pool and Beach Hut <a href="http://shop.paperartsy.co.uk/fresco-acrylic-paints-269-c.asp">Fresco Finish paints</a> onto my Gelli Plate and spread with a brayer. I used Watercolour paper to take a print.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="315" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgLSFSsBqNaZczUov3fwFQ8FsWFMwRr2bsFfBrL4y62ggEb73jtJVUVO3qP5huYTMOR4IHq6ij2DdfAttqhnupwo2euVH1iECY03PHSJsit3SOIwdA3Q9iS1ZYx8U6bwgfOeTKVv_7F258/s320/bottle2.jpg" width="320" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I drew three bottle shapes onto white card and roughly cut around the edge. I scrunches up <a href="http://shop.paperartsy.co.uk/crunchy---waxed-kraft-paper-3454-p.asp">Waxed Kraft paper</a> and attached it to the back of the bottles. Once dry I cut around the bottle shapes.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="203" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjWIeMAQLaMVwelnmk_h8aSZQdMK_tjv9bGgEcfwVb5Gz37g6CkTmGXjPe_2EEPKgQcTziK9nehPXwdHy3TfxClqbr-m-KsGCvLs3EYBBJu7izzQXBo0MlygVQtG4oWW-Aw5EQBH34n2nA/s320/bottle3.jpg" width="320" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I added a little French Roast <a href="http://shop.paperartsy.co.uk/fresco-acrylic-paints-269-c.asp">Fresco Finish paint</a> to the edge of the bottles to add some shadow, as shown below.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="184" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgQ9glTst25yTgyrDmTRN0HHtCFf2tk__fcXsvpWFSEF2Csbf3mbU3yzRzNxThMqna4EfonztV6lsERldN9_P1zbXDY5N_SBuGEzaWXPt1eUzPVJnJTYXJ3XOuTfaRsE7AeXtXW6dR-DXo/s320/bottle4.jpg" width="320" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I added some Snowflake <a href="http://shop.paperartsy.co.uk/fresco-acrylic-paints-269-c.asp">Fresco Finish paint</a> to the background before attaching to the card blank. Pavla did this on her original project and it helped the bottles and flowers stand out. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjPS4bl6XMusHmUmD4xiIRqQbbltvlgVVcq8vQeKUv3ZWlA0AR9UgW6Uttoy0vzfuUx8XeZguF0UUdcW9oLwGMm9LevBCLfMMwOwElEkNqQkKzsZQIRmvoOCzhUihbXBu94VUGWMVHfQtw/s320/bottle5.jpg" width="312" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I stamped a selection of flowers, grasses and a sentiment in Archival Jet Black ink pad onto white card. I used <a href="http://shop.paperartsy.co.uk/jofy-stamp-sets-a5-300-c.asp">Jofy</a> Collections 14 and 24 stamp sets. I coloured the images with Copics. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="199" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjdAg1-fhR0e_Rz4b8y5NzW4S9yRDUG2ok3M6_iVXbRIPmzH-G9xQ3GjsvZ1ADWorR_RWlXAscpGmEQqh7uMvOotLJ3ERi2fGzu_HbqDeChqOJhtooptOuDc5zngOrAuia9xDeF3UHdW6A/s320/bottle6.jpg" width="320" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I cut out the flowers and grasses and attached them, as well as the bottles to the card blank.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="217" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEheDKP6RCCBSXTpbZsK5StEZLhi4znrY5PJOGAJAAVWlCM0sq-PxlppDLvKnnMiIgh0NGkJtMEbztrpb0IdML4IXMohS90TnPR-j16JXFErfLvEeWlnR9-N2wGCWzTQr4ghLOE5JiD6ASw/s320/bottles7.jpg" width="320" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I added Glossy Accents to the centre of the flowers. Around the edge of the flowers I added Star Dust Stickles for a little sparkle. To finish I added a stamped sentiment and faux stitching.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="180" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhpviWSLEf59yZ2bIZAG0Hv7V33eex09InkhQKyr49rjKijI0nM30Vna6dRZyCE7wRGGH8d8QUjBglqUP2Ztd23nzeOqfXnzToWgk85H2I8OYKtqiMVkJYJhV1uyo9uYrX8Wqhyphenhyphen7llUUEA/s320/bottles8.jpg" width="320" /> </div>

A new challenge starts today on the <a href="http://craftstamper.blogspot.co.uk/2015/05/take-it-make-it-challenge-may.html">Craft Stamper blog</a>. The theme of this month's challenge is Take a Stamp: Anything goes.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This is my DT project. I have used a selection of <a href="http://shop.paperartsy.co.uk/jofy-stamp-sets-a5-300-c.asp">Jofy stamps</a> from <a href="http://shop.paperartsy.co.uk/">PaperArtsy</a> for the project. The <a href="http://www.tando-creative.co.uk/catalog/frame-large-rectangle-p-844.html">rectangle frame</a> is by <a href="http://www.tando-creative.co.uk/catalog/index.php">Tando</a>.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjqratmk7tAkaUMGxM1ALWde9YS7K3hto61rz8zyqw28QzgjfA1GhvzJYJ62XSjh5j6ZwpOZRiHWGHiS6hXSqCeiKLnKy7eJFF2fXw82H-NWGa2ifgB2zSHBM2pEp84nku2v1xBh_xghW0/s640/May15%252520Georgina.jpg" height="320" width="193" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
To make my project I started to painting my frame with a layer of PaperArtsy <a href="http://shop.paperartsy.co.uk/fresco-finish---french-roast-3261-p.asp">French Roast Fresco Finish paint</a>. Once dry I painted on a thick layer of <a href="http://www.theartisticstamper.com/decoart.htm">Deco Art White Crackle Paint</a>.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiImhaKbM7PQJhNrQrdgVOiLysBc7Y8p538Codhx1PqwXfxCm-wp_RzpldyOEwafaNwUDz8MlNR884ncJBGPvaj1zXQMO-Rth1pv__5KG1ND3VuLzs7Fj0dm4eUB6W4qtjZrJaN50STWk0/s640/may1.jpg" height="171" width="320" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This is a close-up of the crackle finish once dry.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiOA9otwvqWRvI0_NVTM42FMK_rIRvU5cZHIuFxKRJNd2tNtZO6AawI0R0EYVLiAEu_ve1SYVGQBm_2Xzu5hFVgUOs4xEwYkZEIv547X-sAcV_ZB-0IunubXsBklBVtryK5eK4JR2r3i_A/s640/may2.jpg" height="173" width="320" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I them stamped a selection of <a href="http://shop.paperartsy.co.uk/jofy-stamp-sets-a5-300-c.asp">Jofy stamps</a> onto PaperArtsy <span itemprop="name"><a href="http://shop.paperartsy.co.uk/smoothy-heavy-weight---white-stamping-card-4209-p.asp">Smoothy Heavy Weight 340gsm white stamping card</a> using Tuxedo Black Memento ink pad. I used Jofy Collection sets <a href="http://shop.paperartsy.co.uk/jofy-collection-11-4113-p.asp">11</a> and <a href="http://shop.paperartsy.co.uk/jofy-collection-24-4702-p.asp">24</a>. I them coloured the stamped images with Copics. The colours I used are shown below.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

The April Craft Stamper blog challenge starts today on the <a href="http://craftstamper.blogspot.co.uk/2015/04/take-it-make-it-challenge-april.html">Craft Stamper blog</a>. The theme of the challenge is 'Take a technique - Colour'.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This is my DT card for the challenge. The stamp I used for the card is <a href="http://www.theartisticstamper.com/catherine_scanlon_stamps.htm">Frame Flower 1</a> by <a href="http://www.catherinescanlon.com/">Catherine Scanlon</a>. To colour in the flower petals and leaves I used Color Burst by Ken Oliver Crafts, available from <a href="http://www.theartisticstamper.com/ken_oliver_color_burst.htm">The Artistic Stamper</a>.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiDrNok3p5Ukem-Oen0hdvokravvci8FAuODrnRvET0ERTZqvEDDXYO3P3VYoOEcvPIxsLeYl19nx5rmeVZGiaoQRqeVDxHzcQ7OB9Q_EbvGPgWTmb-qHYCPHfUbJLfFACVX3XbIeCFbtM/s640/april%2525202015%252520Georgina.jpg" height="320" width="317" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
To make the card I started by stamping the Flower Frame stamp with a VersaMark ink pad onto white card and heat embossing with WOW Bright Opaque White embossing powder.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiXMyQ3QwupqQadhBBC2ziXcaO2OkAQJCZYyMCfx0Faq8QGq7m0zvEmEzhPpaZ4thoaEt-AbP_kZ9vH1n8MGzOeM0OkZ6pIaF0MyazINjwQoCFNk0QeFJfI-NZkhusJo-g6NEMtrL5IhT8/s640/april2.jpg" height="249" width="320" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
To colour in the leaves andpetals in the image I used Violet, Alzarin Crimson and Pthalo Green <a href="http://www.theartisticstamper.com/ken_oliver_color_burst.htm">Color Burst</a>. To use this I added a very small amount of the Color Burst powder to a paint tray and added a couple of spritz of water. Once mixed together a watercolour is formed which is ideal of painting, as shown below.</div>

The March challenge starts today on the <a href="http://craftstamper.blogspot.co.uk/2015/03/take-it-make-it-challenge-march.html">Craft Stamper blog</a>. The theme of the challenge is 'Anything Goes (as long as you use a stamp somewhere on your project) '. This is my DT card for the challenge, below. With Mother's Day on Sunday 15th March I thought it would make an ideal theme for my card. I have used the lovely <a href="http://shop.paperartsy.co.uk/hot-pick-1301-on-ez-mount-4779-p.asp">Hot Picks 1301</a> stamp set from <a href="http://paperartsy.co.uk/">PaperArtsy</a> for my card.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjGa-Vws5hy1NLTNluoKl4ZKC-bNMd1b3dSulUOgm2CQErHfMeMSyWguRou94ZDntrd21kfCMLY7FINlDCryw2LnVc3BT4Lgy50wa9V-v0qs5zFkNxs6aZFQqUgbvM60m7qsHEE6RHu2-I/s640/March%252520blog%252520Georgina.jpg" height="320" width="317" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
To make this card I started with a <a href="http://www.craftworkcards.co.uk/products/3055/straight-edge-card-pack-148-x-148mm-white.html">148x148mm white card blank</a> from Craftwork Cards. I lightly distress the edges of the card with Antique Linen and Frayed Burlap Distress ink pads. I then used the text stamps from the <a href="http://shop.paperartsy.co.uk/hot-pick-1301-on-ez-mount-4779-p.asp">Hot Picks 1301</a> stamp set to stamp around the edges, as shown below. I only stamped around the edge as I knew the centre would be covered up with the main butterfly image. I stamped the text using Antique Linen, Frayed Burlap and Walnut Stain Distress ink pads.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjPuoRM1psA1XvYyNCFWLGLcXD2MRBSJIOCvPcAmHlYTTEJVNUZJ2984Yo_ApHMLLsOo6zcKsF4vfYkU7SZEKoJvNreXXQnG0Qwlk5b8nN-x8bl4c3pl-cJOxbl4HKwHIomJQXNswl1qdk/s640/march1.jpg" height="317" width="320" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I cut a strip of dark brown card for the side of the card. I stamped the butterfly image using a VersaMark ink pad and then heat embossed the stamped images with <a href="http://www.wowembossingpowder.co.uk/wc02-metallic-copper-30-p.asp">WOW Metallic Copper</a> embossing powder. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhab6HY59T95APniBazObafr7Hxe1NW02WaNZG0f9hbF2SkI8mnCJ4Wv14Fz91IpF62NoiZghOVpFRmJzA4MarF8_i1UO4XEyqFOpUO4IyxGeyHm8EcCa_ZLKg6EJf0aXHsO9J6Q60XDiE/s640/march2.jpg" height="180" width="320" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I stamped the butterfly and flowers from the stamp set using Potted Soil Archival Ink pad. I lightly distress the edges of the main butterfly image with Antique Linen, Frayed Burlap and Walnut Stain Distress ink pads. I coloured the stamped images, as shown below, with Copics. I used Y08, R81 and R85.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhFJC6tLBXcGxhxPd9aQ8k5YFknnec_zVW8bL34Yu7tyA-uHEkOnyiDR3SohFFO5upNyPt0MyCBchoFuKqi8AeEVyGiP-6yy9DvwDlxd3CQsucPax03ztZucy-Xo-E3jXiyTD7iVgFLaCQ/s640/march3.jpg" height="192" width="320" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I created the sentiment on my laptop and printed it out onto white paper. I added a little colour around the edges with Distress inks before attaching it to a panel of dark brown card. I attached the cut-out butterfly to the main butterfly image with a little glue in the centre. I then stitched on a colour co-ordinated bead.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEig5Mna0-fme1-RrenuwtIzrarjLiixjR_deRn36BDw9olVnDVTsUyMfmUeXlX6RTUvQm3Ne-sGbU4nwIbdOtjUlEmUuodNZcoX8RomLoUm21wZnDNDLOoD1TpOqzG5qCw5ie1ehHawuRM/s640/march4.jpg" height="201" width="320" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I attached the sentiment with foam pads. I also cut out the flowers and attached them with either glue or foam pads. To finish I added faux stitching, Star Dust Stickles to the butterfly's wings and Glossy Accents to the centre of the flowers.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhCwL4a1DlS0o8TPqop1mCzyJo3I-vnNpV7boO_71l8o2u5cRnq6UWJVCPM-nXGXsLddlVf9sd9kF1uGjtUQ942kcL72kQJOipV8AgI2HpKYbRY3JsT43yHS7Wgd21P2HJjBy2VnHcLlJw/s640/march5.jpg" height="180" width="320" /></div>

The February blog challenge starts today on the <a href="http://craftstamper.blogspot.co.uk/2015/02/take-it-make-it-challenge-february.html">Craft Stamper blog</a>. The theme of the challenge is Stencilling.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This is my DT card for the challenge. I have used a stencil and stamps from <a href="http://paperartsy.co.uk/">PaperArtsy</a>.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgudPNjLy2nwaT9oGSZlfEyEH2LNV1qWRdpNU_Nrm-FhspXQ0nA9wp4w9B5U_K0MCFMB1TPdeR0J3MCD_CJhOhCbk9pRYGMCyMNqT3LqFh6UXYOaLmZbClVqHtlGDTCJfdqSG3aV-V0l8I/s640/Feb%252520blog%252520Georgina.jpg" height="320" width="314" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
To make my card I start by lightly colouring the edges of a 148x148mm white card blank. I used Tumbled Glass (for the top, sky) and Bundled Sage (for the bottom, grass) Distress Inks. I then stencilled the grasses using <a href="http://shop.paperartsy.co.uk/paperartsy-stencil-004-elb-4687-p.asp">PaperArtsy Lin Brown 004 Stencil</a> and Old Paper and Frayed Burlap Distress Inks. This created a light background image for the card, as shown below.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh3KuFfVTlB0qrWMY7w8PmJi08cvNxvDWGHp4dgApruRfUqHfT9tu9sGE-EQNgyW5fj4uomBRqcqAj-bMAylq4K0pB_wKcMC2MWW02WTC6igH7qRUbnodgC10AkL1Y9KE2XGHg1N2G5m64/s640/sten1.jpg" height="241" width="320" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I then stencilled the flowers using stronger, brighter coloured, as shown below. The stencil I used was <a href="http://shop.paperartsy.co.uk/paperartsy-stencil-005-elb-4688-p.asp">PaperArtsy Lin Brown 005 Stencil</a>. I used Mustard Seed, Mowed Lawn, Chipped Sapphire, Milled Lavender, Dusty Concord, Salty Ocean Distress Inks.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhB0tTtCuASpjDPor5p21aTGh3CNIB8_X-8_ttoWeZoHxhs0EUgK7ZL1j0geKVCC6MqESe9cdmycQIR5YLmFoYNeHwqrP_hzAnaFT-uZ3c_4stDb2MkOUx8aEQkWCxspoAJV1HMznoTyhU/s640/sten2.jpg" height="299" width="320" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I then replaced the stencil and stamped small circles onto the flowerheads only, as shown below. I used Dusty Concord and Chipped Sapphire Distress inks.The stamp I used was from <a href="http://shop.paperartsy.co.uk/jofy-collection-14-4195-p.asp">Jofy Collection 14</a>. On the leaves I also stamped through the stencil using a line stamps again from <a href="http://shop.paperartsy.co.uk/jofy-collection-14-4195-p.asp">Jofy Collection 14</a> and Mowed Lawn Distress ink.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjDpNqTw38Z7rUhPCAlKe_CSKyqd58zRuKp_tv2So6PymUvt4mhikAo4RM20uAu-i9dj88BKsYRM_FmVbq_XoitKNNYfOxlOo0nOjNtZv3K19tPfr9LZVcL_P-hcgsUbgmqZzs4EekVO9g/s640/sten3.jpg" height="180" width="320" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I stamped a sentiment in Jet Black Archival ink and a stamp from <a href="http://shop.paperartsy.co.uk/jofy-collection-14-4195-p.asp">Jofy Collection 14</a>. Along the bottom of the card I stamped grasses using a stamps from <a href="http://shop.paperartsy.co.uk/jofy-collection-11-4113-p.asp">Jofy Collection 11</a>. To finish the card I added Crackle Glaze to the centre of the flower and Star Dust Stickles to the top of the tall grasses.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiZ_7BaKUIyR3VyNfiPL5BjuWVOvlnn2Y2NrHNwcn4_aM0meo7hGG8JsvVm4mJ6ZDHxmlKTocePD5y57VBg5I5YfgxaIsJKc1-vf2VJI1xbeAXqJ1693vwKTnkOXdETwmOH-3bgYIUyrr4/s640/sten4.jpg" height="189" width="320" /></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjg2vHXYm9B7gPQ2zahH3Tt_biGuxbYxLHGw4Qq0eowmQhPjeFJKPF1JjlXL66mONMJ-vHWWAScA96X3EmLYKR93RredLJ-JwZrZDDHZ3CWH7CMfGQ-Njra9VvZgZSr8Q6YRlDHOe8Q4Rw/s640/Jan2015%252520Georgina.jpg" height="312" width="320" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Following on from my project in the current <a href="http://inspiredtomake.com/zone/craft-stamper/home">February 2015 edition of Craft Stamper</a>, I have used my own <a href="http://designsbygeorgina.co.uk/">Designs by Georgina</a> stamp set for the card. The stamp set I used is called <a href="https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/201160066/peony-elements-rubber-stamp?">Peony Elements</a>.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
To make this card I started by creating the background. To do this I randomly stamped sections from the border and large flower stamps from the <a href="https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/201160066/peony-elements-rubber-stamp?">Peony Elements</a> set onto white card with a VersaMark ink pad. I then heat embossed it with WOW Bright Opaque White embossing powder. I then added colour using a blending tool and Tumbled Glass, Faded Jeans and Salty Ocean Distress ink pads. I then lightly spritzed with water to bleach-out some of the colour. Once dry I again randomly stamped sections from the border and large flower again using the Faded Jeans ink pad. I then attached this to <a href="http://www.craftworkcards.co.uk/products/3055/straight-edge-card-pack-148-x-148mm-white.html">148x148mm white card blank</a>.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-9z61A8ZKqNnRGENve6Elrtj2unausJ2ZkGvBn7AhJ7SIA5XCI1PjPJv07Xvbg11-NDauVIQk4fLElU3WRcDdQjGj0YqwhInnTazD2bxdNX1pj-ksmDQsWAbh750ILgOWBJ8ff9aFtmk/s640/jan2.jpg" height="318" width="320" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I then stamped the large and small flowers, that are included on the tag, onto white card with the VersaMark ink pad. I again heat embossed them with the WOW white embossing powder. I coloured the flowers with Picked Raspberry and the leaves with Mowed Lawn Distress ink pad before cutting then out. I used petals from the green coloured flower for leaves.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhhxGEgSKXs5Aq_wqs7RBa-ugn9f0CzhyphenhyphenRPLoC_R8me6WxjA5wKnYSAj5iLbj325LGcEJTtlZPR3zyNbVBgh7jqpk7SO9h1NjhPNXs7eZFGXfu2ovMub_hcel9aHxk-t8Wx_-HM3wnmA2U/s640/jan3.jpg" height="267" width="320" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
For the centre panel I cut a square of white card. I cut another smaller square from a Post-It note and placed on the card square in the centre. I then stamped the border stamp onto the square with Faded Jeans ink pad. I removed the Post-It note and stamped the sentiment. I then attached the flowers and centre square to the card blank with foam pads.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh80E7Ajb0NhgZiHvD-tl8g-lnO-8fujGMiW1Sr5YhNzp1jongIxBRVcNiVqV4LbJMwAT3jAEf-Se1x_5Ab_AyxSnVFjDQSQsXaN_PoISqHm2hb-96tWdJAHcjak5msbz-CCD7zPLJ8qxk/s640/jan4.jpg" height="180" width="320" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

The December blog challenge starts today on the <a href="http://craftstamper.blogspot.co.uk/2014/12/take-it-make-it-challenge-december.html">Craft Stamper Blog</a>. The theme of the challenge is White Stamping. This is my DT card for the challenge. I have used my own <a href="http://designsbygeorgina.co.uk/">Designs by Georgina</a> stamps for the challenge. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh2FjxibWMMFqMmgpRKYm6FkYJTxsJdgzlijsJacTb3Lvr9Q3ezSUTTYEDx5y5JaqJY1INgntCcx0rcBfxllqYO7GTygendsJMK94dtsLNVfzmwbwtMtBD2BxA010eCST5cU9oRIC6W7mw/s640/white%252520georgina%2525201.jpg" height="316" width="320" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I started by stamping all the elements with a VersaMark ink pad and then heat embossing with WOW Bright Opaque White embossing powder. For the square background I used my border stamp from my <a href="http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Designs-by-Georgina-Peony-Elements-rubber-stamp-/231393990855?pt=UK_Crafts_RubberStamping_RL&hash=item35e02818c7">Peony Elements stamp set</a>. The poinsettia flower and sentiment is from my <a href="http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Designs-by-Georgina-Poinsettia-Tag-rubber-stamp-/231393999144?pt=UK_Crafts_RubberStamping_RL&hash=item35e0283928">Poinsettia Tag stamp set</a>. I stamped the poinsettia four times and cut out sections, as shown below. </div>

The November blog challenge starts today on the <a href="http://craftstamper.blogspot.co.uk/2014/11/take-it-make-it-challenge-november.html">Craft Stamper blog</a>. The theme of the challenge is, Use a non Christmas stamp to create a Christmas themed image.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
If you have seen the <a href="http://inspiredtomake.com/zone/craft-stamper/home">December edition of Craft Stamper</a>, now available, you will know this challenge was inspired by my article 'Floral and Festive'.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This is my DT card for the challenge...</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjE0nYqvDYaRZ9YgqgaCE_D3_gcKulg0FAn_TEB5-tyXXwF6WA7Mr8T9RGsx9t-AKS1jKCgiy4rccADwhcgeG7Uq2shmqXctb9wqzaG4eGQnDti8CgmBxjI7EG04nvR3P77JhYXTS7giwk/s640/Georgina%252520Nov14.jpg" height="305" width="320" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
To make my card I started by stamping the flowers, buds and leaves onto smooth white card. The stamp set I used was Woodware's 'Make a Flower'. I stamped the images in Barn Door, Frayed Burlap and Peeled Paint Distress ink pads. Once dry I then stamped the detail stamp on top with a VersaMark ink pads. I then heat embossed the details with WOW Gold Sparkle embossing powder, as shown below.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiGyg6OICdMYSWvl5Zu4JjrEswz0RqvcLRzvKpPMVtvUf0J31tsFhvDKQqVwr2p7RgeeyLiNWzn-ivr0_O7zGjUQHOWW0QDCCg1pEvloRDCMtrErOYhvcyrX-pq2TVQV-8_92FBNxTqqSM/s640/flower2.jpg" height="154" width="320" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I cut out the sentiment and mounted it onto a panel of gold card. I cut out all the other elements and attached them to a 148x148mm white card blank. I attached the large red flowers first, then the buds and leaves. I attached the sentiment last with foam pads but before this I kept positioning it onto the card to make sure I was adding for flowers and leaves in the correct places.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhWLjENaYZDEKACKSmqg1ZN_d3bz6kQTHG9AdfgD0T-Kjc2AjKpGG8bx5jSUyiRbXmWQ4D76yh5Jt1Ow1ZaPo0M9AzTWHsLeEtOF2sIb-_NdPm3oJmscAMMi0TbEbs2mqXx53eO3vCNCA0/s640/flower3.jpg" height="171" width="320" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
To finish the card I added extra festive sparkle with Gold Stickles. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

The October 'Take It Make It challenge' starts today on the <a href="http://craftstamper.blogspot.co.uk/2014/10/take-it-make-it-challenge-october.html">Craft Stamper blog</a>. The theme of the challenge<span style="font-family: inherit;"> is the Multicoloured stamping technique. This is my DT card for the challenge. The stamp set I used for the card is <a href="http://www.theartisticstamper.com/katy_leitch_stamps.htm">Leaves from The Artistic Stamper</a>. Both the leaves and sentiment are part of the same stamp set.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhqBrAdjj4MeJOvSbR03bNa02kuAFrHhDPLuwBlTJ7Fes-ZwUUqp0vk2_L7SXBhuKs2Jn3SMeX9FqsLqFDpVOx-i_6Cyzj7sjy0VG80qjoTGlDtbf9g3Gko4oEKBcw5p5UyoPS3OY65pVo/s640/Georgina%252520Oct15.jpg" height="316" width="320" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
To create this card I started by stamping the leaves. Instead of stamping various coloured ink pads onto the stamps, I stamped the ink pads onto a clear tile, as shown below. I used Rusty Hinge, Walnut Stain, Frayed Burlap and Forest Moss Distress Ink pads. I used a dry paintbrush to lightly mix the joins between the colours.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-bnrTqCdcrBWWv40U-wMm-8hcMthBpUROaqAnNRSo9EbCdqNuci-b15AhH415UWbEF7hs6IPBk65nB_OkUDniGp4s0mRaSvlRWmvlmSDjHtPhDzPyvjn6RsjyLobElVqd4GteHGZEyI8/s640/octb.jpg" height="256" width="320" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I then stamped the rubber leaves stamps onto the inks, I tried to get a mix of colours on each stamp and then stamped onto smooth white card. I cut the leaves out. I stamped more than I used so I had a selection to choose from as every leaf looked different.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgxiNxoTxbo-edkx9UGUnbhfgcZ_HJ-WySOA3SMoXA9xKnGybhu66-rK-dde_yuIecIuSb0lGVDel7pTo1tGsYQOiePtTeYsen4ej9E12pGD10ikC3eYH-ULquew1AcuRyPjOa_N3dYTMo/s640/octA.jpg" height="205" width="320" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
For the centre panel on the card I cut a strip of smooth white card. I stamped the sentiment from the <a href="http://www.theartisticstamper.com/katy_leitch_stamps.htm">Leaves</a> stamp set with a VersaMark ink pad and then heat embossed it with Opaque Bright White embossing powder. I lightly distress the edges with Walnut Stain and Frayed Burlap ink pads before stamping the leaves. I used the same tile technique but I used Old Paper and Antique Linen Distress ink pads for the leaves stamps.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I attached the leaf stamped background panel onto a <a href="http://www.craftworkcards.co.uk/products/3067/elegance-card-pack-148mm-x-148mm.html">Elegance 148x148mm card blank</a> from Craftwork card. Lastly I added the leaves to the card. I attached some of the leaves directly onto the card and other with foam pads.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjIlKf1UZhKC-601Dy7jtek_5GyAI0DWClJKqnEHYqWE06mHsRjoGTSTVMkDzyX2xCo5hd-nohJzaO9Twz3f03AQYUHaWeSqsw4Gsg15zR0aiCklEdx-ObZwYcZVHGf2lMwL19q6bjwuvQ/s640/octc.jpg" height="196" width="320" /> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

The September Challenge starts today on the <a href="http://craftstamper.blogspot.co.uk/2014/09/take-it-make-it-challenge-september.html">Craft Stamper blog</a>. The theme of the challenge is 'Stamping on Tissue paper'.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This is my DT card for the challenge, below. The stamps I have used for my card are from a range I have designs myself called Designs by Georgina, and recently launched. I used two stamp sets, <span itemprop="name"><a href="https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/201170033/clematis-elements-rubber-stamp?ref=shop_home_active_2">Clematis Elements</a> and <span itemprop="name"><a href="https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/201160066/peony-elements-rubber-stamp?ref=shop_home_active_1">Peony Elements.</a> These two stamp set and the other four from the range are available from my <a href="https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/DesignsbyGeorgina">Designs by Georgina store</a> on Etsy.</span></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgMHou0z2DTQG5MgbD2whh8Bt2c4TjSQZ-insY95AxgBeFKYRUSNGJmTpenKwiqJpU3sjnKYbu-YD68lw912G62PrVnk4LRtGq10FPyM_BU_myj61LPf0mMQVlFYoL8GERfSZ83RuQXvfo/s640/tissue%252520Georgina.jpg" height="319" width="320" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
To make my card I first decorated the card base. I used a 148x148mm kraft card blank. I stamped the sentiment first with a Potted Soil Archival ink pad. I then stamped the large peony stamp onto the card with a Frayed Burlap Distress Ink pad. I cut a square from the centre of the card and added faux stitching with a Walnut Stain Distress pen. For the centre of the card I cut a square of light cream tissue paper. I stamped the mixed rectangle border onto the tissue with a Potted Soil Archival ink pad. I then attached this inside the card blank.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhFp_sR-4oB2GxyO3DmarBj-uO0LaoFA-Sn9X5Wqymr5nxnrKtJh3gwGOTVU3UKxWQYulscwCQclgvVPnRLJDetNOLkw3VAn68HsOTxRUaDkgOSvjJ_g5OZQvHem0Y5k-BcT1yNEHG0FlY/s640/tissue1.jpg" height="320" width="278" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I stamped a selection of peonies and clematis flowers onto green and pink shades of tissue paper. I am going to use the green petals as leaves. </div>

Today I have a decorated frame to share with you. I use two recently released stamps from <a href="http://www.theartisticstamper.com/index.htm">The Artistic Stamper</a> for my projects. The two flower pot stamp are designed by <a href="http://www.simply-cotton.com/">Debbie Cotton</a>. They are <a href="http://www.theartisticstamper.com/debbie_cotton_stamps.htm">Florence's Flowers large</a> and<a href="http://www.theartisticstamper.com/debbie_cotton_stamps.htm"> Florence's Flowers small</a>. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjsgFAoTB-k89W6i0wQ5XVERD9qCqDqkjOkLKIvYJBHFm3CdRDwyswMZeFUX5Oy3wq83Xo2xRaC7kza35n1fqm8u7xKD_kpPH6HV2dgFN1_AraLo3l_f0-Ua9PYBQMS-lK5xps7Klrk_tY/s640/seeds1A.jpg" height="320" width="314" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
To make this project I started by painting a wooden frame with PaperArtsy Tinned Peas Fresco Finish paint. The frame I used was <a href="http://www.theartisticstamper.com/wood_to_alter.htm">15x15cm collage frame</a> also available from The Artistic Stamper. Once dry I started added the stamped and coloured images.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I cut a square frame of white card to go around the edge of the frame. I stamped just the flowers onto the frame. I also stamped a large and two small flower pots. I used Distress Ink pads and Distress Pens to colour the flowers. To use the Ink pads I stamped the pad directly onto a tile. I added a little water so the ink could be used as a watercolour. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjHnn2Mq1CDexqoo8mkWWCDFahoyDgaEjv93qj4zHSN1ZTPuox6nWNllRTfO2QXQPP8NtQuXF4Ohk8_8AWrL7SMHo4VWRWq2WmSot7WEKQqAacrGLOL2lcCLim4RCdT5PajDNdvh9_2BNo/s640/seeds3A.jpg" height="240" width="320" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I stamped the flowers pot only onto dark grey textured card. For the smaller pots I didn't ink the text on the stamp so I just had the put outline. I cut out the pots and added them to the coloured flowers.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I cut a square of white card for the background. I coloured the card with Tumbled Glass and Stormy Sky Distress Ink pad. I added this to the frame and drew black faux stitching around the edge. I added the centre flower pot directly on the frame. The other two pots I added with foam pads. To finish I added Glossy Accents to the centre of the flowers and a black pearl to the top right corner.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>

A new Take It Make It Challenge for August has started on the <a href="http://craftstamper.blogspot.co.uk/2014/08/take-it-make-it-challenge-august.html">Craft Stamper blog</a>. The theme is to use your favourite technique for an 2014 issue of <a href="http://inspiredtomake.com/zone/craft-stamper/home">Craft Stamper</a>. The technique I chose to use was 'The bleach blocking technique' by Hels Sheridan, July issue.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This is my DT card, below. The butterflies and sentiment stamps I used are <a href="http://www.hobbyartstamps.com/Butterflies.html">Butterflies by Hobby Art</a>. The shaped card blank is <a href="http://www.craftworkcards.co.uk/products/3067/elegance-card-pack-148mm-x-148mm.html">Elegance from Craftwork Cards</a>. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjbgQEUt3OnnaDcc2oOT2eb0XWpmDnmCE0iWShtQ6vfKF8AHgMAuYsd4FUGWiSHPRzoh2ShxKgMNQosy6UkCTsXK9O95vaLMo9cak16NfUcUCehdBZMbNRWzDJ0b_exM1n_LnwIa83Ckxo/s640/August%252520Georgina.jpg" height="315" width="320" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
To create the card I started by cutting a panel of smooth white card. I coloured with card with Tumbled Glass and Stormy Sky Distress ink pads. I then added the bleach blocking technique to the coloured panel. To do this I added water to a clear Distressing Tool pad and pressed it down onto the coloured panel. This removed the colour as shown below.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjSAQ1XfEHFn5LGnxS9e3SDNty3dCJdIq2y5uYbLo2EFvq9JACnIx2FtFJjdH1XU6eKrH1r9YnpHio7-n4ITjMsxeKQQ7pUU0c-4wlRdfRktldgmoXU7XUVdBgyrw5al8Bugkpz2yE2EMY/s640/bakgtoudn.jpg" height="205" width="320" /> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I then stamped the Butterflies with a Tuxedo Black Memento ink pad and coloured them with Copics. I cut out each butterfly. Once the background panel was dry I attached it top the card blank. I stamped the sentiment and black silhouette butterflies before attaching the coloured butterflies. To finish I added Stickles and <a href="http://www.hobbyartstamps.com/Wink-of-Stella-Clear-Brush.html">clear Wink of Stella</a>.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>

I have a 30th Birthday card to share with you today. I used Tim Holtz Birthday Blueprint stamp set for the main cupcake image. It's a great celebration stamp set and ideal for men and women, as well as all ages. The number and sentiment stamps are both from <a href="http://www.theartisticstamper.com/">The Artistic Stamper</a>.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiAL3j4KFENWNKvfuR2XNcD4qH32v14WfLbVhFC15yl6KIhBPtvgqzZEF23RhIkB678SuvygazUsTh0eQvz-fzo7p7l1QV4ScvOP39tJ0QX8NGfCT176R7snGVHZOCEDpOQ4UVsqHnBlu8/s640/cake1.jpg" height="320" width="316" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
To make this card I started by stamping the cupcake image onto light blue card and smooth white card with a Tuxedo Black Memento ink pad. I cut out the light blue stamped image and mounted it onto a piece of mid-blue card. I coloured the image that was on the white card with Copics. I cut the elements out and attached them to the other image with foam pads.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgVmD0uMRcMh7x8wnkPk-fJl6VEbNQvRnlus625nS-7kCljZnP08M8aHSRx7v-I70yJlqo0Q2OeSglCvz889cnXBqa8m9BsXdSRJX_GBzZRr2_6CxCKKGHIyyGPxZx5tshscVnISdJnFOQ/s640/cake3.jpg" height="320" width="240" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I cut a piece from the front of the card blank, as shown below. Down the edge of the inside of the card blank I stamped Happy Birthday. I used Katy Leitch's <a href="http://www.theartisticstamper.com/katy_leitch_stamps.htm">Greetings</a> stamp set available from The Artistic Stamper. The 30 panel on the front I used another Katy Leitch's stamp set called <span id="goog_679763818"></span><a href="http://www.theartisticstamper.com/katy_leitch_stamps.htm">Numerical plate </a> for the numbers. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhZkUteIJt4b3jO6GgXOLeAtSDoowRhXapY13JVcF96cg3x24LLBxj7h8zM3W13BrfWPGk_PrqpEo_URVOqgLCO9p9HZHWkrNmD5dmU1-oFiJf72uvdTkSyG5CxB-jx688RB8Ze2IomuMs/s640/cake2.jpg" height="320" width="281" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I attached the cupcake image to the front of the card with foam pads. I also added a picture frame corner to the top left corner. I drew faux stitching around the edge with a white gel pen. To finish the card I added Stickles to the flame and Glossy Accents to the little Birthday tab.</div>
