Divas by design - challenge 8

This is my card for the Divas by design challenge blog. The theme of the challenge is birthdays.

The stamp set I used for the card is 'A Rose is a Rose' by Stampin' Up. The inks I used is Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive by Stampin' Up and also a VersaColour pink ink pad. I individually stamped out all the flower and leaf images onto smooth white card. I used my Stampin' Up Stamp-a-ma-jig to line up each coloured section of the images.

I used my Cricut to cut of the birthday greeting from olive coloured card. I added all the elements to a square scalloped edge card. To finish I added dots around the edge.

Fab 'n' Funky challenge 85

This is my card for this week's Fab 'n' Funky blog challenge. The theme is, 'It's Christmas'. The image stamp and sentiment stamp are both from Little Claire's new Christmas range.

I begun by stamping 'The Robin and the Ivy' image. I coloured it in with ProMarkers. I added Stickles to the image. I mounted this onto panels of red and black card. I cut a silver frame using Lacy Square Nestabilities. I added faux stitching around the edge.

I stamped the greeting stamp in black and added it to a Lacy Circle which was cut with Nestabilities.

I used snowflakes Nestabilities to die cut all the snowflakes for the background. I added them onto a scalloped square card blank. Onto this I added the image and the greeting.

On your Wedding Day

This is a wedding card I made. I kept to a very simple colour scheme of silver and white.

I begun by heat embossing the silver elements with Silver WOW Embossing Powder. For the heart and flowers I used Punch Potpourri stamp set, and for the tags I used Tiny Tags stamp set. Both these set are by by Stampin' Up. The greeting was also Silver heart embossed. For the background I stamped the flower design again and heat embossed this with clear embossing powder.

I used my Stampin' Up heart punch to punch out the embossed heart and also one from metallic silver card. These were mounted onto a square of white card which was die cut using Lacy Squares Nestabilities. I covered a square card blank with silver card. I added all the elements to the card.

I tied the tint tags together with white ribbon. To finish I added gems to the centre of the flowers and dots around the edge of the Lacy Square.

Another All-in-One card and envelope

This is the second card I have made using the new All-in-One Embossing Folder Sets by Cuttlebug. I also embossed a co-ordinating design on the envelope too.

I again used a combination of Beautiful, True Love, Thank You and Bloom & Grow Embossing Folder Sets.

After embossing the central flower design I used ProMarkers and a gold Sakura pen to colour in the image. I mounted this onto a panel of gold card as this co-ordinated with the gold highlights I added to the flower image.

I embossed a border onto a square of green card using various elements from different Embossing Folder Sets. I coloured in the word Beautiful with a gold Sakura pen. All the layers were attached onto a square card blank. Around the edge of the card I added gold dots.

I tried the embossing folder design with different materials. This one (below) I used Core-dinations Black Magic card. After embossing the design I sanded away the top black layer to reveal the pink core colour.

This sample (below) I used just normal blue card. After embossing I added dark blue Adirondack Dimension Pearls and white Liquid Pearls.

For the final sample (below)I used a slightly different design but it's still very effective even left plain as the embossing is very deep and detailed.

All-in-One Cuttlebug card

This is the first card I have made using the new All-in-One Embossing Folder Sets by Cuttlebug. The Folders are an early Christmas and birthday gift from my Crafty Aunties. Thank you!

I used a combination of Beautiful, True Love, Thank You and Bloom & Grow Embossing Folder Sets for this card. It's such an easy system to use and has so many possibilities. You just have a master folder that you can attached any combination of small embossing plates into. Once you have your design you just run the master folder through your Cuttlebug.

This flower image (above) was an embossing plate from the Bloom & Grow Set. I used ProMarkers to colour in the flowers. I also added ribbon to faux stitching to the panel. The wording is from the True Love Set.

I used the largest embossing plate from the Bloom & Grown Set for the background panel. The small flowers were from the Thank You and Beautiful Set. These were embossed and then cut out. I added the centre flower with foam pads. I added a gem to the centre to finish.

I begun by stamping the image. The stamp is Milly Flower Power by Lili of the Valley. I added highlights with Sakura pens. I mounted this onto a panel of pink card.

On a card blank I added panels of pattern paper and pink card. I added two of the panels with yellow brads. I punched a strip of white card. Onto this I added pattern paper and ribbon. I attached this across the card.I tied a small piece of the same ribbon on the the ribbon strip. To finish I added faux stitching and a flower shaped greeting from Craftwork Cards.
