Festive red and white

This is my cards for this week's Simply Stampin blog challenge - week 36. The theme is Snowflake Sparkle.

The stamp set I have used for the cards are 'Delicate doilies' and 'Contempo Christmas' both by Stampin' Up. I thought the style of the doilies stamps reminded me of delicate snowflakes. By using the red and white colour scheme I felt it gave it a festive feel.

For my first card (above) I stamped the doilies first with a clear VersaMark ink pad. I used red WOW embossing powder to heat emboss the stamped design. In the gaps I stamped the smaller doilies with a Real Red ink pad from Stampin' Up. I cut the design into three pieces and mounted them onto red card. I stamped the doilies onto the card blank with the Real Red ink pad. To finish I add a strip of ribbon. The greeting stamp is from the 'Contempo Christmas' stamp set.

My second card (above) I heat embossed the doilies images again. To finish this card I added a ribbon bow.

The ink pad I used was Night of Navy and the stamp is from Season of Joy stamp set. The long strip and the other white panel was stamped with Baja Blue ink pad. The two flower stamps were from the Season of Joy set again. I stamped the dark blue card panel with white craft ink.

The main image is Dasher stamp. The greeting is from Contempo Christmas. I stamped the two snowflakes and punched these out with circle punches.

Festive trio

This is a set of card I've made using Stampin' Up stamps and ink pads. I am entering these cards into this week's challenge Simply Stampin' blog challenge.

This week's challenge is a colour challenge of Melon Mambo, Perfect Plum, Bashful Blue, Whisper White. Unfortunately I don't have these colours so I have used my closest colours of Baja Breeze, Rich Razzleberry and Pixie Pink. The stamp sets I used for the cards are Seasons of Joy and Tree Trimmings. I stamped each element directly onto square card blanks.

These are quick and easy cards to make which is ideal if you have a lot to make. These designs would work in a variety of colour combinations.
