New Baby
I have two cards to share with you today using the New Baby stamp set which was released earlier this month by Hobby Art.
I have used the set to create both the cards for a baby boy and girl. My first card today is for a New Baby Boy. To create the card I started by stamping the main centre image onto white card with a Tuxedo Black Memento ink pad. I also stamped the baby image again which I later cut out and added with foam pads.
Onto the card blank I stamped small and large stars which are also part of the New Baby stamp set. I coloured the image with Distress Ink pads. I used Weathered Wood, Stormy Sky and Tumbled Glass for the blue shades, I used Tattered Rose for the skin and Walnut Stain for the hair. To colour I stamped the ink pad onto a tile and then added a little water so I could use the ink to paint with. I added a strip of ribbon across the centre panel and then added that and the baby with foam pads to the card blank. To finish I added Stickles, pearls and faux stitching.
My second card is for a New Baby Girl. I used Tim Holtz Doily Stencil and a Picked Raspberry Distress Ink pad to stencil the flowery design across the card blank. I used Post-It notes to mask off the top and bottom of the card so just leaving a strip which I stencilled into.
I stamped the cute donkey with the Picked Raspberry ink pad and again used the ink pad to colour in the image. I die cut an oval and scalloped oval of white card. I coloured the scalloped with the Picked Raspberry ink pad. The other circle I stamped the words using a Memento ink pad. I added black dots around the edge of the oval. I attached the ovals and the donkey to the card with foam pads.

Letter, words and numbers
A first on my blog today, a Journal page! I am entering this into March's challenge on The Artistic Stamper Creative Team blog challenge. The theme is 'letters, words and numbers', so you can see where I got the idea for the words from.
The inspiration for the letting and the curves was from a recent workshop run by Jennie Boxall at The Artistic Stamper, which I went to. Jennie had taken part in a workshop previously taken by artist Joanna Sharpe where she showed her pencil lettering technique to form letters.
To start my Journal page I drew the curved lines. I then followed Joanne's technique to form the letters/words. I started by creating the three main words - letters, words and numbers.
I then added more letters and numbers to the page to fill in spaces decides the words. I masked off the letters/numbers, as shown below, so I could stamp above and below the lines.
The stamp set I used were numbers was Numerical Plate and words from Encyclopaedia Botanica. Both stamp sets are by The Artistic Stamper. I used Distress Inks to stamp with and also to colour-in my drawn letters and numbers. The coloured I used were Peacock Fathers, Mustard Seed and Picked Raspberry.

Craft Stamper - new blog challenge
A new 'Take it, Make it' blog challenge has started over on the Craft Stamper blog. The theme of the challenge is 'Monoprinting with an acrylic block'.
This is my Design Team card for the challenge...
To make my card I started by adding a layer of PaperArtsy Beach Hut Fresco Finish paint to an acrylic block as shown below.
I then pressed my card blank directly onto the paint and pulled off. This is the printed strip that was left on my card...
I then added more paint and printed onto a piece of white card. I stamped flowers from PaperArtsy Jofy Collection 12 with Peacock Feather Distress ink and Jet Black Archival ink pads. I cut out the flowerheads and leaves that I stamped on the separate piece of white card and attached them to the card blank.
I also stamped Happy Birthday using stamps from Jofy Collection 11 onto the printed card and then cut out and attached to the card blank. To finish the card I added Stickles.
For more details about the Challenge or to enter pop over to the Craft Stamper blog.

Flower stamp and prints
I have a Birthday card to share with you today. I have used the beautiful Catherine Scanlon Flower Frame 1 stamp which is available from The Artistic Stamper. I used the stamp for both the background and the main floral image. I also used my Gelli Plate to print the colour papers which I used for the flowers.
To start I printed the coloured paper. I added Distress Ink pads directly onto my Gelli Plate and then pulled off prints onto smooth white paper. The ink pads I used were Victorian Velvet, Tattered Rose, Aged Mahogany, Bundled Sage and Mustard Seed.
I then stamped Catherine Scanlon's Flower Frame 1 stamp onto the coloured papers with a Jet Black Archival ink pad. I cut out all the flowers, leaves and flower centres.
On a square card blank I stamped the Flower Frame stamp all-over with a Antique Linen Distress Ink pad. I stamped the sentiment using Walnut Stain Distress ink. The sentiment is from Grungy Greetings #1 set from The Artistic Stamper.
I printed another strip of paper on the Gelli Plate using the Antique Linen ink pad to colour the Gelli Plate. I cut a 'V' into the end of the strip before adding to the card blank. I added the cut-out flowers to the card.
To finish I added faux stitching, Glossy Accents to the centre of the flowers and dot of brown Dimension Pearls.
