Stamping on a Sunday

This is a card I've just finished making. I'm entering it into the Sunday Stamping Challenge on www.docrafts.co.uk

The theme of this weeks challenge is punches. As you can see I've used Martha Stewart's flower edge punches in just a few places. The edge of the purple background panel for the stamped image was created with Martha's flower edge and corner punch. I've also used with corner punch in the corners of the top left hand corners of the purple stripped background paper. The right hand side edge is also punches but this time with the larger flower punch from the same set.

The stamp is Rose's Garden by Sarah Kay. This is the first time I've used this stamp and I'm very pleased with it. The design stamped very well and there is so much fine detail. It was a joy to colour in. It was stamped with Memento ink pad and coloured in with ProMarkers. I added some gold sparkle to the flowers centres with a Sakura Pen.

The patterned background paper is from Daisy & Dandelion Picnic Patch range of papers. The card was finished off with cream ribbon and a bow and a greeting by Craftwork Cards.

Wedding Day Congratulations

This is a card I made using two stamps I bought on a recent trip to Edinburgh. The hearts were stamped with a clear VersaMark ink pad and then heat embossed with gold embossing powder. The hearts were coloured in with three different red shades of ProMarkers. I stamped some additional hearts and added them to the corners with foam pads. I finished them with Glossy Accents.I also added sparkle with a Sakura pen.

The heart panels were mounted on gold cards. The background card is embossed with swirls. The gold card is an 8x8 card. These are both from Craftwork Cards. The greeting was also stamped and mounted on gold card. This was attached to the card with burgundy ribbon.

This is a card I've entering into the Sunday Stamping Challenge on www.docrafts.co.uk

The heart and flower design is a Hero Arts stamp `Hearts and Flowers`. It was coloured in with ProMarkers and a gold Sakura pen. I then restamped the design and coloured in the larger flowers which I cut out and decoupaged. The centres were finished with gold Dimensional Pearls. The greeting is stamped with Memento ink pad. Two tone ribbon was added. The white backing card is by Craftwork Cards and is embossed with small flowers. I used the same greeting stamp as I did the above card.

Passion for ProMarkers - week 39 challenge

This is my card for this weeks Passion for ProMarkers challenge.
http://promarkerchallenge.blogspot.com/

The theme of the weeks challenge is "buttons and bows". As you can see I've added two ribbon bows, green buttons top left and red button for the cherries.

The cherry background paper was stamped using Hero Art Cherries stamp. The stamp was smaller than the size I needed so I restamped the edge of the stamp three time to make a strip that was long enough for the bottom of the card.

The cherry image was stamped using Memento ink pad and coloured in with Promakers. I stuck two red buttons over the large cherries. The greeting is a peel-off which I coloured in with a black pen.

The Tilda stamp is Cherry Tilda. She was stamped with Memento ink and coloured in with ProMarkers. I drew around Tilda with an oval nestabilities and mounted her on a scalloped red oval. Across the centre of the card I placed a white strip with I punched a flower edge using Martha Stewart flower punch. I added red stripped ribbon across the middle and to the top of the red oval. To the ribbon strips I attached bows. I tied two green button to the top of the card with linen thread by Stampin' Up.

I like to use square cards and I have done again but this time I used a 8x8 card which is large than normal but I think this design needed a large size card.

Flowers and ladybirds

This is a card I've just made and I'm entering it into Clare's Weekly Challenge on Do Crafts website.
http://www.docrafts.co.uk/community/gallery/item.aspx?item=3164454

The 'inspiration photo' is of a flower and ladybird so this image certainly includes both. The tree stamp is Flower Tree by Hero Art. It's such a beautiful design and couldn't resist buying it.

The image was stamped with Memento ink pad. I coloured the image in with ProMarkers. I used various shades of the same colour to add shade to the flowers, trunk and leaves. The ladybirds were finished with Glossy Accents. The centres of the flowers are finished with either gold Stickles or Dimensional Pearls. I highlighted with swirls with a metallic Sakura pen. The centres of the leaves were finished with Stickles.

I mounted the stamped image on bright pink card. The fancy edge at the bottom of the pink was punched with Martha Stewart flower punch. I added ribbon and a bow around the card. The greeting is by Craftwork Cards.

Passion for ProMarkers - week 38 challenge

This is my card for this weeks Passion for ProMarkers challenge.
http://promarkerchallenge.blogspot.com/

The colour theme of the weeks challenge is to use ProMarkers cool aqua, sky blue and aegean.

The stamp image is Magnolia Blueberry Tilda. This is the first Magnolia stamp I've used. I though the Blueberry Tilda was in keeping with the 'blue' colour theme of this weeks challenge. Tilda was stamped using a Memento ink pads. The hair was coloured in with three shades of brown and ivory. Her top was coloured in with aegean and the jeans with sky blue. Her shoes, apron, basket lace and the cut out flower in the top left hand corner were coloured in with cool aqua.

The image and background panel were cut out using nestabilities. The stitching was added with a white Sakura pen. The lace edge boarder was cut with Martha Stewart's flower punch, QVC's TSV from with week. The background paper is Daisy & Dandelion Picnic Patch. The greeting is by Craftwork Cards. I added some blue brads and ribbon for a finishing touch.

Happy Valentine's Day

This is the Valentine's card I made for my boyfriend. The hedgehogs are from a set of stamps by Penny Black called Every which way. The little hedgehogs are so cute! I like there little hedgehogs design alot and Valentines was an ideal excuse to have to buy a set.

The images were stamped with Memento ink pad and coloured in with ProMarkers. I just can't stop stamping and colouring-in. I love to colour! The results with ProMarkers are just so good you can't leave them alone.

The main circle image was cut out using a circle Nesabilities. It was mounted on white and red scalloped circle also cut with Nestabilities. I added glossy accents to the rose heads and some heart ribbon around the circle and I think it just finished the image off. I did tie the bow separately and stuck it on with PVA glue. I mounted it on the card with foam pads.

The spotty background paper was wrapping paper from Paperchase. They sell some lovely designs of wrapping paper and good value for the size sheet you get. The red circles in the top corners are card candy by Craftwork Cards. The greeting is a peel-off on white card which was stuck on with foam pads.

I think the line of hedgehogs stamp was the reason I bought this set. I love the way they are dancing along, all happy, with little hearts. A line of five just fitted nicely along the bottom of my card.

Happy Valentine's Day!
