The November blog challenge starts today on the Craft Stamper blog. The theme of the challenge is, Use a non Christmas stamp to create a Christmas themed image.
If you have seen the December edition of Craft Stamper, now available, you will know this challenge was inspired by my article 'Floral and Festive'.
This is my DT card for the challenge...
To make my card I started by stamping the flowers, buds and leaves onto smooth white card. The stamp set I used was Woodware's 'Make a Flower'. I stamped the images in Barn Door, Frayed Burlap and Peeled Paint Distress ink pads. Once dry I then stamped the detail stamp on top with a VersaMark ink pads. I then heat embossed the details with WOW Gold Sparkle embossing powder, as shown below.
I cut out the sentiment and mounted it onto a panel of gold card. I cut out all the other elements and attached them to a 148x148mm white card blank. I attached the large red flowers first, then the buds and leaves. I attached the sentiment last with foam pads but before this I kept positioning it onto the card to make sure I was adding for flowers and leaves in the correct places.
To finish the card I added extra festive sparkle with Gold Stickles.
