Craft Stamper January 2015 blog challenge - DT card

The January blog challenge starts today on the Craft Stamper blog. The theme of the challenge is 'Take a Stamp'. This is my DT card for the challenge...

Following on from my project in the current February 2015 edition of Craft Stamper, I have used my own Designs by Georgina stamp set for the card. The stamp set I used is called  Peony Elements.

To make this card I started by creating the background. To do this I randomly stamped sections from the border and large flower stamps from the Peony Elements set onto white card with a VersaMark ink pad. I then heat embossed it with WOW Bright Opaque White embossing powder. I then added colour using a blending tool and Tumbled Glass, Faded Jeans and Salty Ocean Distress ink pads. I then lightly spritzed with water to bleach-out some of the colour. Once dry I again randomly stamped sections from the border and large flower again using the Faded Jeans ink pad. I then attached this to  148x148mm white card blank.

I then stamped the large and small flowers, that are included on the tag, onto white card with the VersaMark ink pad. I again heat embossed them with the WOW white embossing powder. I coloured the flowers with Picked Raspberry and the leaves with Mowed Lawn Distress ink pad before cutting then out. I used petals from the green coloured flower for leaves.

For the centre panel I cut a square of white card. I cut another smaller square from a Post-It note and placed on the card square in the centre. I then stamped the border stamp onto the square with Faded Jeans ink pad. I removed the Post-It note and stamped the sentiment. I then attached the flowers and centre square to the card blank with foam pads.
