Words, flowers and butterflies

This is my card for the May challenge on The Artistic Stamper Creative Team blog. The theme of this month's challenge is 'Words' so I have used two different words stamps to create backgrounds.

To decorate the card blank I used The Artistic Stampers Calligraphic Mat 11. I stamped the words all over the card blank using Frayed Burlap Distress ink pad. I also used a Distressing Tool to add colour around the edges of the card. The shaped card blank is Fanciful from Craftwork Cards. I cut three circle, one of cream paper and two white. The cream circle I left blank. The larger white circle I painted with Frayed Burlap Distress Paint and stamped Calligraphic Mat 11 on the top. The smaller circle I stamped with the words stamps from Encyclopaedia Botanica stamp set.

On the smallest circle I also stamped the flowers from the Encyclopaedia Botanica stamp set in green ink. I used the flower stamp again to stamp the flowers in yellow and brown. I cut out the flower head sections of the flower and added them to the circle. I layered all the circle onto the card blank.

I stamped the butterflies from the Encyclopaedia Botanica stamp set in Walnut Stain ink pad. I also used ink from the pad to colour the butterflies. I cut these out and added them to the card. I also added Glossy Accents to the butterflies bodies. I attached a circle sentiment for Craftwork Cards with foam pads. To finish I added small black dots around the edges.
