Christmas Robin

This is a Christmas card I made with two lovely stamp sets from Hobby Art. The sets are from the Sharon Bennett Collection, Christmas Robins and also Winter Wishes sentiments stamps. Both sets are available to pre-order.

I begun by stamping the cute robin onto a square of smooth white card. I then stamped the robin onto a post-it note to create a mask. This allowed me then to stamp the sentiment so it appeared that the robin was sitting on the line.

I also stamped the robin again onto white card. I coloured the hat and added Polar White FlowerSoft to the hat before adding it to the main image with foam pads. I used ProMarkers to colour the stamped images. I punched with white square with a rounded corner before adding it to a square of red card and then the card blank.

In the background I stamped light blue snowflakes. I stamped two of the holly branches with I coloured again with ProMarkers. I added Glossy Accents to the berries. I cut these out and added to the card with foam pads. I also stamped small holly leaves next to the sentiment. I used gems for the holly berries. To finish I added small black dots around the edge and red gems in the corners.

Yummy cakes!

Yummy cakes! They look good enough to eat. This is a birthday card I made using the 'yummy' Cakes stamp set from Hobby Art.

I begun by stamping the middle cake onto a panel of scalloped edge smooth white card. I also stamped the cake image onto a post-it note and cut it out to create a mask. I placed the mask over the cake and then stamped the other two cakes so they then appeared to be behind the first cake.

I coloured the stamped image with ProMarkers. I attached the coloured panel onto a scalloped edged panel of pink card. I stamped the greeting using the Happy Birthday from the Floral Sketch Set stamp set also from Hobby Art.

Across the panels I added a strip of brown ribbon and a bow. I then added this onto a square card blank. To finish I added Stickles to the cakes and pink gems to the top corners.

Lemon bowl

This is a bowl I decorate last Tuesday evening at the This Art of Mine studios. I had a lovely evening. It made nice to change to create something different. I am very pleased with my finished bowl.

The design was traced onto the bowl in pencil before adding the various paint shades of yellow, green, brown, as well as a blue background.

The base of the bowl was painted with two coats a special paint that gave this speckled finish after it had been in the kiln. I painted my initials on the base too.

Winter Town House

For this card I using the lovely Town House Set of stamps from Hobby Art. The set contains 13 individual stamps so you can create your own scene. I have also used the snowflake stamp from the set to stamp a snowflake background panel.

I started by die cutting a circle of smooth white card. Onto this I stamped the winter scene using a black Memento ink pad. I also stamped the sentiment which is also part of the Town House Set. I coloured the image with ProMarkers. I added diamond Stickles for some extra sparkle onto the snowy areas and red Stickles to the snowman's scarf.

I mounted the coloured panel onto a circle of silver card and a dark green card circle die cut with Spellbinder Lacey Circles die.

The snowflake background was stamped using the snowflake stamp from the Town House Set and a dark green ink pad. I added all the layer onto a square card blank. To finish the card I added a green ribbon bow and faux pearls.

Little Claire September Stamp Club set

As it's the start of a new month then it must be the launch of this month's Little Claire Stamp Club set. This month set is called The Magic of Christmas.

These are two cards I have made with the stamp set. The set contains a lovely selection of stamps including the a front door, geese, sleigh and sentiments.

For my first card I stamped the geese first onto smooth white paper. I masked off the geese so I could then stamp the doors. This made them appear behind the geese. I coloured the image with ProMarkers. For the background I used Blue Texture with Stars paper available from Little Claire. To finish the card I added ribbon, snowflakes and Stickles.

For my second card I used the sleigh image. Again it coloured the stamped image with ProMarkers. I cut the scalloped circles using Nestabilities Lacey Circles.  The red background paper is red Christmas Scrolls available from Little Claire. I embossed a card blank using a Cuttlebug swirl embossing folder. The edge was cut using a Spellbinder die.
