Backgrounds and Birthdays
I have a selection of cards to share with you today. The cards are sample cards I made for Hobby Art's shows on Create and Craft last week. I have used two stamp sets for these card. They are Decorative Backgrounds and Birthday Collection.
For my first card I used swirls and decorative circle from the Decorative Backgrounds set to create the flower heads. To start I lightly coloured the edges of a square of white card with Tumbled Glass Distress ink. I use stitching and swirls from the same set for the rest of the flower. I stamped the sentiment onto a tag. The sentiment was from the Birthday Collection stamp set.
For my second card I have used the large word stamp as a decoration for a big birthday cake shape. The word stamp is from Birthday Collection stamp set. I cut candle shapes from dark pink card and I used gold Dimension Pearls for the flames. The background is a sparkly stamp from the Decorative Backgrounds stamp set.
For my third card, I started by colouring the card with Walnut Stain and Frayed Burlap Distress ink. To decorate the card I used a mixture of Decorative Backgrounds stamps. The sentiment is from Birthday Collection stamp set. I stamped stitching each side of the sentiment. To finish I added a little brown button.
For my forth card I started by stamping the sentiment. I then stamped the swirls from Decorative Backgrounds stamp set on the card blank with Forest Moss Distress ink. I stamped the little flowers with a dark red ink. These are also part of the Decorative Background stamp set.

Sunflowers
I have three cards to share with you today. These were sample cards I make for Hobby Art's shows on Create and Craft yesterday. They all feature the lovely new Sunflowers stamp set from Hobby Art. The birthday sentiment is from Hobby Art's Birthday Collection stamp set.
For my first card I started by stamping the square scene panel and a single sunflower. I stamped the elements with a Tuxedo Black Memento ink pad. I coloured the image with a mixture of ProMarkers and Copics. On a square kraft card black I stamped the sentiment and single sunflower heads with Walnut stain and Frayed Burlap Distress ink pads.
I attached the coloured image scene to the card. I cut a square frame from brown card. I added this and the single sunflower with foam pads. To finish I stamped, coloured and cut out a butterfly. I added this to the top right corner of the card.
For my second card, I stamped and coloured three image panels. The scene joins up if the three image panels were placed together. I coloured the images with ProMarkers and Copics. I mounted the coloured images onto panels of brown card.
I stamped a script background stamp all over a DL kraft card blank with a Walnut Stain Distress ink pad. The script stamp is from Hobby Art's Decorative Background stamp set. It a lovely script design and ideal for a subtle background on a card or project.
For my final card today I used a 5x7" kraft card blank as the base. I cut panels of white and brown card. I stamped a different images onto each piece of white card. I again coloured the images with ProMarkers and Copics. To finish the card I stamped, coloured and cut out a single sunflower head with I added to the sentiment panel.

Birthday cupcakes
I have some birthday card ideas to share with you today using a range of stamps from Hobby Art.
I started by stamping the cupcake image onto smooth white card and lilac spotty paper. The cupcake stamp is part of the Hobby Art's Cakes stamp set. I used a Tuxedo Black Memento ink pad to stamp the image. I coloured the leaves and cake sections on the image stamped with ProMarkers.
I cut the flowers and cupcake case out of the lilac spotty paper and attached it to the coloured image, as shown below. I stamped the birthday sentiment below the cupcake image. The sentiment is from Hobby Art's Floral Sketch stamp set.
I stamped the faux stitching along the edges of the cupcake image and the square card blank. The stitching is from Hobby Art's Decorative Background stamp set. I then attached a square of lilac spotty paper and the cupcake image to the card blank. To finish I added Stickles.
I then made the cards again but using kraft and blue gingham paper instead of the lilac spotty paper.
I think this card works in any colour. By using brown or dark colours I think you could easily send this card to men, as everyone loves yummy cupcakes!

Bright ATCs
These are two ATCs I made for Julie Cassidy's September ATCs swap. The theme was 'vivid and bright'.
To start I coloured two panels of white card with various Distress inks and then attached them to panels of black card. I then stamped the flowers and words with a black Memento ink pad or brown ink. The stamp set I used for the flowers and words was Paperartsy Jofy Plate 12. I also stamped the flowers onto a separate panel piece of per what I had coloured with Distress ink pads. I cut the flower heads out and attached them to the ATCs.
I drew small black dots around the edges with a fineliner. I added gems, Stickles and sparkley Sakura pen for extra sparkle. To find the ATCs I added two hearts I had made using my Meltpot and UTEE.
