Embossed Christmas

This is my card for this week's Fab 'n' Funky blog challenge. The theme of the called is 'go mad with embossing'.

I used the Cuttlebug All-in-one embossing folders for this card. The elements all came from the Twinkle set.

The background panel was embossed with the large holly. For the centre panel I started by embossing the greeting and one of the corners. I then moved the position of the corner design around the greeting to form the border. I cut out the design and added it to a panel of dark brown card. I layered all the elements up onto a square card blank. I coloured in the greeting with a ProMarker. To finish I added gold dots and brown Dimension Pearls.

Another All-in-One card and envelope

This is the second card I have made using the new All-in-One Embossing Folder Sets by Cuttlebug. I also embossed a co-ordinating design on the envelope too.

I again used a combination of Beautiful, True Love, Thank You and Bloom & Grow Embossing Folder Sets.

After embossing the central flower design I used ProMarkers and a gold Sakura pen to colour in the image. I mounted this onto a panel of gold card as this co-ordinated with the gold highlights I added to the flower image.

I embossed a border onto a square of green card using various elements from different Embossing Folder Sets. I coloured in the word Beautiful with a gold Sakura pen. All the layers were attached onto a square card blank. Around the edge of the card I added gold dots.

I tried the embossing folder design with different materials. This one (below) I used Core-dinations Black Magic card. After embossing the design I sanded away the top black layer to reveal the pink core colour.

This sample (below) I used just normal blue card. After embossing I added dark blue Adirondack Dimension Pearls and white Liquid Pearls.

For the final sample (below)I used a slightly different design but it's still very effective even left plain as the embossing is very deep and detailed.

All-in-One Cuttlebug card

This is the first card I have made using the new All-in-One Embossing Folder Sets by Cuttlebug. The Folders are an early Christmas and birthday gift from my Crafty Aunties. Thank you!

I used a combination of Beautiful, True Love, Thank You and Bloom & Grow Embossing Folder Sets for this card. It's such an easy system to use and has so many possibilities. You just have a master folder that you can attached any combination of small embossing plates into. Once you have your design you just run the master folder through your Cuttlebug.

This flower image (above) was an embossing plate from the Bloom & Grow Set. I used ProMarkers to colour in the flowers. I also added ribbon to faux stitching to the panel. The wording is from the True Love Set.

I used the largest embossing plate from the Bloom & Grown Set for the background panel. The small flowers were from the Thank You and Beautiful Set. These were embossed and then cut out. I added the centre flower with foam pads. I added a gem to the centre to finish.
