Chalk ink florals

These are two cards I have made using Chalk ink pads and Stamps from Hobby Art.

The colours of chalk ink I used were Frosty Ultramarine, Washed Tan, Creamy Coffee, Frosted Mint, Gauzy Beige, Dusty Lime, Milled Violet and Hazy Magenta.

 

The flower stamps I used for this card (above) was Floral Sketch set. The sentiments were also part of the same set. I cut a large circle of paper which I placed on the centre of a square of white card. I then stamped the floral stamps all around the circle using the chalk ink. Once I had finished stamping I removed the paper circle. In the centre I then stamped the sentiments. I mounted this onto brown card and then onto a square card blank. To finish I added gold Dimension Pearls, Stickles and faux stitching to the card.

 

For my second card I again used the Floral Sketch set. I also used Sentiments Clear set for the centre sentiment and Anna's Collection - Just For You stamp set for the butterflies.

 

I started by die cutting a square in the centre of the card blank. I stamped the flowers all around the edges with the chalk ink. I stamped the butterflies separately and cut them out before adding to the card. I stamped the sentiment inside the card so that it showed through the front aperture.

Mother's Day blossoms

 

This is a Mother's Day card I made with a pretty new stamp set from Stampin' Up called Stippled Blossoms.

 

I begun by stamping the flower heads and leaves. As the stamps were two-part stamps I used a Stamp-a-ma-jig to line up the two colours. The coloured ink pad I used were Rich Razzleberry, Rose Red, Pretty in Pink, Pear Pizzazz and Old Olive, all my Stampin' Up. I added gold Dimension Pearls to the centre of the flowers. I cut out each flower and leaves.

 

I used Stampin' Up Labels Collection Framelits dies to cut out the sentiment shape. I used gold peel-offs for the sentiment and I added a stamped flower.

 

 

For the background I use a square of brown card and an embossed square of cream paper. I used Tied Together embossing folder. I used Seam Binding ribbon for the ruffle. To finish I added gold brads and faux stitching.

Mother's Day flowers

 

This is a Mother's Day card I have made using a range of stamps from Hobby Art.

 

I started my decorating the card blank. I used a light lilac ink pad and a blending tool to lightly distress the edges of the card. I then stamped the script in the same lilac ink pad all over the card blank. The script stamp is from Hobby Art's Decorative Backgrounds stamp set.

 

I also stamped a flower onto the background. To get a very light impression I stamped the flower onto scrap paper first then second time I stamp onto the card. The flower is from Hobby Art's Floral Greeting stamp set.

 

 

To create the flowers I used the Floral Greeting stamp set. I stamped the large and small flower head onto white card with a dark purple ink pad. I used the light lilac ink pad and blending tool to colour the front and back of the flowers.  

 

I cut out the flower heads. Some flowers I left as a single layer but others I layered up to crate a more detail and dimensional bloom. In the centre I added gold Dimension Pearls.

 

I cut out a decorate purple frame using Spellbinders Fleur de Lis Squares. Onto this I added a square of white card. I used peeloffs for the greeting. I added the squares to the card blank. Once I had decided where the flowers were going I stamped the green flourishes. I did this before attaching the flower. The flourish stamp is from Hobby Art's Flourishes stamp set.

 

 

I added a peel off sentiment inside the card. To finish I stamped the flower heads inside the card and added small blank dots on the front with a black fineliner.

 

Little Claire Monthly Stamp Club

 

The start of a new month so a new Stamp Club set from Little Claire. This month's set is You're so tweet. These are two cards I have made with the stamp.

 

 

For my first card I stamp the main image twice onto white card. I coloured the stamped images with ProMarkers. I cut out one image into a square shape and mounted onto orange card. From the other image I cut birds and flowers which I added to the main image with foam pads. I used the 'You're so tweet' stamp from the set to stamp the word background onto the card.

 

 

For my second card I stamped the 2x2 square stamp repeatedly to get a 3x3 square design. Again I coloured the image with ProMarkers. For the background I used squares of gingham paper to form a patchwork effect.
