Passion for ProMarkers - week 44 challenge

This is my card for this weeks Passion for ProMarkers challenge blog.
http://promarkerchallenge.blogspot.com/

This weeks challenge was ‘springtime creations but you must include an animal’. For my card I used one of the new Penny Black slapstick stamps. The stamp is called Garden Visit. It's such a cute image. It was stamped with Memento ink pad and coloured in with ProMarkers.

I used Nestabilities labels eight to cut the shape from a card blank. I used the same nestie to cut out the stamped image which I attached inside the card.

I added stitching with a white Sakura pen. To keep with the Spring theme I added white and yellow flowers. The flowers were cut with a Cuttlebug dye. I added Glossy Accents to the snail shell. The greeting is by Craftwork Cards.

Classical instruments

This is a card I made with Classical Instruments stamp set by The Stamp Man www.thestampman.co.uk

I chose a gold and dark brown colour scheme as I felt the swirly design of the stamps worked well with a metallic finish.

The main image of the guitar was stamped with clear VersaMark ink pad and them heat embossed with gold embossing powder. I stamped the image on a large piece of brown card. I cut out a the guitar image from the centre of the card. The piece that was left I used for the frame background panel.

I used the top part of the guitar stamp for the swirl pattern which I stamped around the edge of the frame and guitar image. I stuck gold paper on the front of a card blank with double sided tape. I layered up the card design with the frame, brown card strips, gold paper and the guitar image.

The card with finished with a stamped greeting. The frame I used for the greeting is also part of the Classical Instrument stamp set. The birthday greeting is from Butterfly Beauties stamp set which is also by The Stamp Man.

Patchwork Tilda

This is the card I'm entering into DoCrafts website Tilda Challenge. The theme of this weeks challenge is patchwork.

I used my new 'Tilda with bike' stamp for this card. She was stamped with Memento ink pad and coloured in with ProMarkers. I added a light green and blue background for grass and sky. This was coloured in with colour pencils. I added Glossy Accent to the bunch of flowers and her hair bands to finish. She was mounted on a cream backing paper. When I cut cream background out I made sure the height of the stamped image was in proportion with the width. This made the square patchwork easier to make work. The height was three 35mm squares and the width two 35mm squares.

For the background I cut out 35mm squares of various patterned papers. The paper are mostly from Forever Friends, Stampin'Up and Laura Ashley. I drew a 35mm square grid on the white card base. I them stuck double sided tape along the lines. This made attaching the patchwork a lot quicker than sticking tape onto each square. Once all the squares were attached I drew stitching with a Letraset black fine liner. To finish I added a pink bow and a greeting by Craftwork Cards.

Passion for ProMarkers - week 43 challenge

This is my card I'm entering into this weeks Passion for ProMarkers challenge. The challenge this week was to follow a sketch published on http://promarkerchallenge.blogspot.com/

The stamp I chose to use was Spring is Back by Sarah Kay. She was stamped with Memento ink pads and coloured in with ProMarkers. I added highlights with gold and clear Sakura pens. I enjoyed using Sarah Kay's Rose Garden stamp so much I decided I 'needed' another stamp from the range.

The mains colours I used for the stamped image were pinks and greens, so I kept to these colours for the background papers too. The yellow checked paper is by DCWV. The pink spot and flower paper are by Laura Ashley and green by Bloom and Grow. I mounted all these on green background panels.

I used a Martha Stewart flower punch for the cream flower. I attached this with a pink flower brad. I finished the card by adding green brads, a pink ribbon and a greeting.

Friendship Card

This is a card I made for the March Do Craft Friendship card swap. It was the first swap I'd taken part in. It was nice to get a card in return and a very nice card it was too.

My card was a bit of the old and a bit of the new. The old being my usual stamping and colouring-in and the new being the technique I used for background design .

I chose to use one of my favourite Tilda stamp, Tilda picking lilacs. She was stamped with Memento ink pad and coloured in with ProMarkers. I added highlights in the lilacs with a Sakura pen. Once I'd finished the colouring I cut her out. I added a strip of light green card to the card base for the grass. I cut two slits in the card and thread lilac gingham ribbon through. I tied a bow and added it with PVA glue. The greeting is a stamp by Hero Arts.

The new technique I tried on the background was for the flowers and butterflies in the blue sky background. I drew the flower design lightly in pencil on the blue card. I then used a Screw Punch tool to punch the holes out. I regularly use this tool but not to create patterns. I used a variety of hole sizes to create interest. I used the same technique for the butterflies.

On the back of the blue card I attached coloured paper so it would show through the holes. I used Sakura pens for the centre of the flowers and butterflies. To finish I added my Tilda with foam pads.

In pieces

This is my card I'm entering into Do Crafts Sunday Stamping Challenge.

The theme was to use a stamp in a different way but cutting the image into at least three pieces. The stamp I used was Hearts and Flowers by Hero Arts. I stamped the image with Memento ink pad and coloured it in with ProMarkers. I drew around Nestabilities to create the squares. I cut my image into 11 pieces.

I mounted the image on white and gold backgrounds panels as these complimented the stamped image. I added gold Pearl Dimensions to the centre of the flowers and highlight with Sakura pens. I stamped the image in gold on the edge of the card. I added a cut out stamped flowers on the top corner and a greeting to finish.

Passion for ProMarkers - week 42 challenge

This my card I'm entering in this weeks Passion for ProMarkers challenge.
http://promarkerchallenge.blogspot.com/

The colours for this weeks challenge was Bright Green and Mango. The stamp is Rose's Garden by Sarah Kay. It was stamped with a Memento ink pad and coloured in with ProMarkers. I added gold stickles to the centre of the flowers. I mounted the girl onto bright orange card.

I used a range of orange and green shades for the card to compliment the pen colour choice. I layered up a a selection of orange pattern papers. These were from DCWV, Forever Friends, Bloom & Grow and Whitewash Core'dinations. The white lace edge was punched with the large Martha Stewart flower punch. I chose a bright green ribbon go compliment the Bright Green ProMarker. I added two paper flowers. I also added Card Candy by Craftwork Cards to the centre of the flower centres and on the Whitewash card. The circle greeting is also by Craftwork Cards.

Driving by with a birthday 'Hi'

This is a card I've just finishing making for a friend to give to her Husband for his birthday. I got inspiration for this card from my Stampin' Up workshop last week
http://card-delights.blogspot.com/2010/03/perfect-pairs.html
Cards for men can be a bit tricky but I though the Stampin'Up Loads of Love and Accessories stamp sets were ideal. I've been looking forward to using these stamps.

I stamped the truck once on the cream card and once on white. I coloured the one stamped on white, the little lady and the pile of gifts with ProMarkers. I cut these out and stuck them on top of the cream truck. I added with truck with 1mm foam pads. I used nestabilities to cut of the truck and the frame. The greeting was stamped from the Loads of Love set. I made a small tag with it and attached it with ribbon.

The card is A6 landscape. The brown card is Chocolate Chip by Stampin'Up. For the edge of the cream background I punched a scalloped edge and embossed Swiss Dots with a Cuttlebug embossing folder. I also cut a scalloped edge strip and attached ribbon with a brad. I added it to the left hand edge of the card with foam pads.

To finish the card I made a box from the Chocolate Chip card. I added a ribbon and a greeting oval by Craftwork Cards.

Passion for ProMarkers - week 41 challenge

This is my card I'm entering into this weeks Passion for ProMarkers challenge.
http://promarkerchallenge.blogspot.com/

The theme of the challenge is 'back to nature'. I've used Hobby Art 'Butterflies' stamp. I stamped it with Memento ink pad and it was, of course, coloured in with ProMakers. I stamped the image twice and cut out the butterflies and flowers. They were added outside the boarder and on the flower area with foam pads.

The centre of the flowers were finished with gold Dimension Pearls. I also used Sakura pens to add highlight. The centre of the butterfly I added Glossy Accent.

I chose gold and pink card to mound the stamped image on as it complimented the colours I used to colour in the image.
