You're my star

I am entering this card into two blog challenges:

I Love ProMarkers blog challenge. The theme of the challenge this week's is 'Song title'. The song title I have based my card on is 'You're my star' by the Stereophonics. They are my favourite band so were an obvious choice.

Pear Tree Designs challenge blog. The theme of their challenge this week is 'Anything goes'.



I begun by stamping the bear image with a black Memento ink pad. The stamp I used is Fizzy Moon - 'Wish upon a star'. I coloured in the image with ProMarkers. I added highlights with Sakura pens and Stickles. I added Glossy Accents to his nose and button. I mounted this on a panel of light blue card and a frame cut with Lacy Squares nestabilities.



I cut a panel of spotty light blue paper from Craftwork Cards and dark blue card. I punched one the edges with my Stampin' Up eyelet punch. I added ribbon and a bow to the top left hand corner. This was all mounted on a square card blank that I'd covered with light blue card.

I stamped the greeting in dark blue. The stamp is by Little Claire's. I used Stampin' Up oval punches to punch out the greeting and frame. I added these with foam pads. To finish the card I added gems and faux stitching.

This is my card for this week's Pear Tree Designs challenge blog. The theme of the challenge was a sketch with a twist. The twist was to include gems on your card.



I begun by stamping the Snoopy image. The stamp is 'Snoopy Flying High'. He was stamped with a Memento ink pad and coloured in with ProMarkers. I used a simple colour scheme of red, white, silver and dark brown. I used Nestabilities to cut the brown and silver square frames.



I cut a large panel of red for the main background. Following the sketch I added panels of red and silver card. I added a strip of red gingham ribbon across the top. To keep with the challenge I added two red gems to the top and bottom right hand side.

I drew small white dots around the edges using a Sakura pen. To finish the card I added a greeting by Craftwork Cards.

Pear Tree Designs - challenge 12

This is my card for Pear Tree Designs - challenge 12. The theme of the challenge is a 'Male theme' card. The stamp I chose to use is 'Doggie Parcels' by Little Claire Designs.



I stamped the image with a Memento ink pad and colour him in with ProMarkers. I chose 'male' colours for the card - shades of browns, reds, blues and olive. I used Nestabilities to out the image and the brown frame. I stamped additional balloons and attached them to the card. I drew in the balloon strings with a fineliner.



I cut a large square of brown card for the background. Onto this I attached panels of patterned paper. Across the centre of the card I added a strip of brown and cream ribbon. I tied a bow with the cream ribbon.

I punched small circles using by Stampin' Up circle punch. I added small thread holes using a screw punch so they looked like buttons. To finish I added a greeting by Craftwork Cards.
