Passion for ProMarkers - week 47 challenge

This is my card for this weeks Passion for ProMarkers challenge. For this weeks challenge you had to create the background using ProMarkers only.
http://promarkerchallenge.blogspot.com/

My card is very simple this week. I used pale shades of blue, green and orange. The present and greeting are from part of a set of stamps by Stampin' Up called Happy Moments. They were stamped with Memento ink pad and coloured in with ProMarkers. I cut the stamped image out Nestabilities. I also cut a frame with a larger nestie. I coloured the frame with three shades of blue - powder blue, cool aqua and denim blue. I edged the card blank with two of the blue shades. On top of this I attached a plain square and then the stamped image.

Little birds

These are the little cards I've made for Clare's Weekly Challenge on the DoCrafts website, www.docrafts.co.uk

This weeks challenge you had to take inspiration from a photo. The photo was of a hot sandy desert. I used the colours for my inspiration.

The sky was bright blue, I used this colour for the bird. There was a white layer in the sky with I used for the circle background. There were green tips to plants so I used this for the wing and branch. The sand was shades of brown, gold and orange so I used this for the card, scalloped frame and flower. The flower and birds' eye was added with Pearl Dimensions.

The bird punch is by Stampin' Up and is from their new mini catalogue. It's such a pretty little bird. I think it would be suitable for so many occasions. The circles were cut out using Nestabilities.

LOTV challenge card

This is my card for this weeks Lili of the Valley sketch challenge.
http://liliofthevalleythursdaychallenge.blogspot.com/

Since my last post I've reached 1,000 hits on my blog. I was very happy to see my counter go over 1,000. I didn't think that was too bad as I only started blogging this year. Thanks to all my visitors!

Back to my card for today. For the challenge I chose to use another one of my new purchases from Ally Pally last week. The stamp is Thistledown Fairy by Lili of the Valley, www.liliofthevalley.co.uk/

I stamped the whole fairy image twice using Memento ink pad. I also stamped the flowers a few times more as I wanted to use them for the background. I coloured in the fairy and flowers with ProMarkers. I added highlights with Sakura gold and glitter pens. I cut out one of the fairy image and a scalloped frame with Nestabilities. Where the image was cut off I cut out these sections from the second fairy image and attached them to the original fairy image.

I cut a large square of the dark green card. This was the same colour that I used for the scalloped frame. Onto this I mounted a square of white paper. I cut out more of the little flowers and attached these to the white square with double sided tape.

I added a strip of dark pink ribbon across the card and attached it behind the green square. I printed a greeting which I mounted on gold card and then onto the card.

Tractor birthday card

This is an easel card I've made using one of my new stamps. The stamp is called Tractor by Stamposaurus, www.stamposaurus.co.uk

I usually make square cards but I thought for a change I'd make an easel card. I made the card base by cutting an A4 piece of card in half longways. One half I scored and folded in half to form a card. I then scored and folded one of the half panels of the card in half again. The other half from the original A4 piece I cut in half to get an A6 piece. I then attached this A6 piece to the bottom part of the panel of the card. To make sure the card stood up I attached, with small foam pads, a row of Craftwork Card's silver card candy.

The Tractor stamp was stamped with Memento ink pad and coloured in with ProMarkers. I stamped the image again. I coloured and cut out the tractors wheels and the farmers hat. I added these to the original stamped image with foam pads. I added Glossy Accents to the wheels. The stamped image and a frame were cut out using Nestabilities.

I used mostly green shades for my card. I chose to use a green spotty paper for the background. The patterned strips were cut using Fiskers bat wing scissors. The oval birthday greeting is by Craftwork Cards.

Happy cupcake birthday

A 30th birthday card for a lady who loves her cupcakes and pink! The background paper was actually a magazine freedie which I've actually used for once rather than adding to a pile of unused magazine papers. The card is Chocolate Chip and the pink card is Regal Rose both from Stampin' Up. The texture on the cake case and cream topping were added using Cuttlebug embossing folders. The 'sprinkles' were spots of stickles. I added buttons with PVA glue. The thread through the button is Linen Thread from Stampin' Up. The greeting and boarder were cut using Nestabilities.

Cards for football fans

The little football chap stamp on this card is by Panduro. It was stamped using Memento ink and coloured in using ProMarkers. It was cut out using Nestabilities. The net background paper is by Kanban. The football outline was stamped on the card. This stamp was also part of the Panduro set. I stamped and coloured in another head and hat which I attached to the card with foam pads. The circle greeting is by Craftwork Cards.

This stamp was by Sugar Nellie. It's called Football Luca. Again it was coloured in using ProMarkers. The circle greeting is by Craftwork Cards.
