September Friendship Card
This is my card for the September Friendship Card swap on the DoCrafts website.
The stamp set I used for the card was Funky Flowers by The Stamp Man. I stamped the main flower design twice with an Stampin' Up Old Olive ink pad. I used Stampin' Up Rich Razzleberry ink pad to colour in the stamped image.
I cut the flowers out from the second stamped image and added them with foam pads. I added gold Dimension Pearls to the flower centre.
I used Nestabilities to cut the circles frames. I used a gold Sakura pen to added the small dots around the edge of the circle and on the flower petals. The circles were added onto a white doily.
For the background I cut a large square of gold and dark blue card. The corners of the gold card were punched using a X-Cut corner punch. I stamped the flower head design on the dark blue card with Stampin' Up white craft ink pad.
To finish the card I added a 'Friend' tiny tag with gold ribbon. The tag stamps and punch are by Stampin' Up.

George the Giraffe
These two cards were made using Christmas Giraffe stamp by Little Claire. I have named in George... an obvious choice for me!
For the first card I used ProMarkers to colour in George. I used Nestabilities to cut out the frames. The snowflake background paper was stamped using a white Stampin' Up ink pad. The snowflakes and the greeting are from Little Claire's 'All set for Christmas' set. The cutout snowflakes were done using my Cricut.
The greeting was also stamped with white ink onto dark blue card. I used a scalloped puch for the end of the card. To finish I added Polar White Flowersoft for snow.
My second card is George the football fan. He has on a black and white scarf for my favourite football team - Juventus! For this card George was stamped on tan coloured paper with a sepia VersaMark ink pad. He was coloured in with colour pencils. I stamped the scarf on white paper and coloured that in with ProMarkers. I cut this out and added it to George.
Both frames were cut with Nestabilities. The football background was stamped with a black VersaFine ink pad and coloured in with a black Sakura pen. To finish I added football ribbon and a greeting.

The Stamp Man Challenge 5
This is my card for this weeks The Stamp Man challenge 5. The theme of the challenge was 'distressed'.
The stamp set I used for the card was Funky Flowers by The Stamp Man.
I begun by stamping the flower image with Old Olive ink pad by Stampin' Up on cream card. I stamped the flowers again, and also three of the individual flowers, with Rich Razzleberry ink pad also from Stampin' Up onto white card. I used the ink pads to colour in the flowers.
I torn around each of the flowers and added Glossy Accents to the centre.
I also torn around the main flowers image, a panel of dark red and cream card. Using a Stampin' Up sponge dauber I added a distressed colour look to edges with a So Saffron Stampin' Up ink pad and Sepia VersaFine ink pad.
On the large cream background panel I stamped the small circles and swirl image.
I layered the card up. I added the corner flowers with PVA glue. The centre flowers were attached with foam pads.
To finish I stamped a greeting. The greeting stamp is from Butterfly Beauties stamp set also by The Stamp Man. This was attached with foam pads.

ProMarkers - woof, woof!
This is my card for two ProMarkers challenges.
1. I Love ProMarkers sketch and theme challenge. The theme was 'Rip it up', so I have torn the edges of the spotty and dark brown panels.
2. Passion for ProMarkers photo inspriation. From the photo I use the colours and spotty pattern.
I begun by stamping the dog and parcel image with Memento ink pad. The stamp is Doggy Parcels by Little Claire Designs. I used ProMakers to colour the image in. To finish it I added Glossy Accents to the balloon and ribbon detail with a gold Sakura pen.
I placed an oval Nestabilities over the image and drew around it. I cut the image out, just leaving the parts of the image that were outside the oavl. I mounnted this onto a gold oval which was cut using a Nestabilities.
I cut a large panel of grey card for the main background. To follow the sketch I added panels of spotty paper. The green paper was by My Minds Eye and the red paper by Paperchase. I tore the panels so it kept with the ripped theme.
To finish the card I added brads, stitching and a circle greeting by Craftwork Cards

The Night Owl
These are two cards I've made using a new stamp by Little Claire Designs called 'Night Owl'.
I used a Memento ink pad to stamp the owl designs for both cards. I coloured in the images ProMarkers. The scalloped edge frames were cut using Nestabilities. Both greeting with cut using my Cricut. To finish both cards I added Stickles and Glossy Accents to their eyes.
For this card I cut the card blank from Stampin' Up Kraft card. I cut a strip 275x105mm which I scored and then folded in half. I punch the scalloped edge of the card and a white strip of card with Stampin' Up Scalloped edge punch. The small holes were done using a screw punch. I made the button from small circles of card which I punched small holes in.
For the second card I cut a square of dark blue card for the background onto this I added patterned paper from DCWV. I punched holes through these squares and I threaded ribbon threw. I tied a bow to the ribbon. I finished by added white dots with a white Papermania pen.
How about making your own background paper? This stamp looks lovely when stamped used as I repeating pattern. You could colour it in or even stamp in white on a coloured paper.

I'm back from 'up north'
Sorry I've not been around all week. It's been a busy week. I had my Stampin' Up group on Monday night, I was then working on a couple of card related project and Friday until today I was 'up north'. I went to the Great Northern Papercraft Extravaganza show at Harrogate yesterday. My aunt and uncle live near so we all had a day out there as my aunt is a card maker too.
I'd not been to this show before but I really enjoyed it. Lots of different companies that don't usually come the show in London and the south east.
The morning started early with a Breakfast Workshop with Jenny Mayes from Hobby Art. I made these two cards using a stamp set by Hobby Art at the workshop. I liked the stamp set so much I decided I 'needed' it. This was one of my many (many, many) purchased during the day.
The highlight of the day was seeing my DT cards for Little Claire's displayed on their stand. I was so excited to see them on display for everyone to see. I did take photos of them.
The top two cards are mine. The stamp set used is 'Warmest wishes'.
The two centre cards are mine again. The stamp set used is 'We three cats'.
The top left and bottom right cards are mine again. The stamp set used is 'Deck the horns'.
The top left and bottom right cards are mine again. The stamp set used is 'Most wonderful time of the year'.
The top left and middle right cards are mine again. The stamp set used is 'Christmas pals'.

What a surprise!
You may have seen Heidi's comment on my blog last night about me being in DoCrafts Creativity magazine. That was a surprise to me, and what a great one! I hadn't seen the magazine yet and I didn't know my card was going in there. I was out early this morning to find a copy. Lucky my local craft shop had them. I'm in the reader gallery on page 72-73.
This is my card from the magazine.
To start making this card I cut the two curve panels for the dark blue card using a WSDesigns template. I cut the centre spotty patterned paper using the template. The spotty paper, bird and butterflies are from DoCrafts Henbury Lane range.
I added the bird with foam pads. To the centre of the flowers I added small gems, also by DoCrafts. I also attached the butterflies onto the front and back panel of the card.
I attached the birthday greeting to the front of the card and again I added a gem. To finish the card I attached a strip of pink ribbon around the card and a bow tied from the same ribbon.

All set up for Christmas
These are two card I've made using Little Claire Designs September Stamp Club set.
For the first card I used the penguin, snowflake and greeting stamps from the set.
I began by stamping the penguin using a Memento ink pad and coloured him in with ProMarkers. I cut the penguin out leaving a small white boarder. I covered a square card blank with dark blue paper. For the snow I used a strip of Whitewash Core’dinations pale blue card. Onto this I stamped the greeting and then attached the penguin.
The snowflake design was stamped onto a panel of acetate using VersaMark white ink pad. I attached this to the card using doubled sided tape. I drilled two holes through the card and tied ribbon through the holes which then covered up the double sided tape.
My second card uses the poinsettia and greeting stamps from the set.
Again I started by stamping the main image, this time the poinsettia. It was coloured in with ProMarkers and I added gold highlights with a Sakura pen. I cut this out leaving a small white boarder. I stamped the greeting and mounted it on gold card.
I cut a square of gold and green card for the background. On the green card I stamped the poinsettia using a clear VersaMark ink pad.
I attached all the layers onto a square card blank. I added the poinsettia with foam pads.
