Simply Stampin' Challenge 16
This is my card for this week's Simply Stampin' blog challenge. This week's challenge was a sketch challenge. The products I used are by Stampin' Up.
I begun by stamping the two large rose images. I used 'A rose is a rose' stamp set and a Stamp-a-ma-jig to line up the two layers. I used Rose Red and Pretty in Pink inks. I also stamped the leaves in Pear Pizzazz and Old Olive. I cut out each element.
I cut a square of white card for the background and a rectangle for the side strip. I used the Baby Blossoms stamp set to stamp the pattern. I used the same ink colours again and also So Saffron for the yellow rose heads. I mounted these onto panels of Kraft card. I stamped the greeting in brown ink using Happy Moments stamp set.
On a strip of Kraft card I added a strip of Baja Breeze seam binding ribbon. I put the card together following the sketch. The large rose and leaves were added with foam pads. To finish the card I added white faux stitching.
