I've been making embellishments

I made these pretty embellishments using silicone moulds and various embossing powders I bought from Sugar and Spice Crafts at Ally Pally last weekend.

It's not the usual kind of crafty thing I do but when I saw them being demonstrated I just had to have a go myself. They are made with a combination of melted embossing powders. I melted these a foil tray and the poured into the silicone mould. They dry quite fast and then you just pop them out of the mould. I had thought these would made an ideal embellishment for my Wedding invitations.

Boofle birthday

This is my card for DoCrafts Creativity Club A-Z challenge. The letter is M for Masking and Male.

The Boofle stamp I used for the card is free with the current edition of Creativity! magazine. I stamped the Boofle image twice, once on smooth white card and again on a post-it note. I cut out the image on the post-it note.

I placed the post-it note image over the other stamped image. I then stamped the Papermania Typography Happy Birthday greeting. Because I have masked over the original image the birthday greeting appeared to be behind Boofle. I drew a rectangle and stamped button in the corners before cutting out the rectangle.

I coloured the stamped image with ProMarkers. Onto a Papermanaa kraft card blank I added four panels of patterned card cut from the Boofle range of card blank. I added the coloured image and more stamped buttons. To finish I added a gem and faux stitching.

Megan's Christening invitations

I wanted to share with you today the invitations I made for my daughter Megan's Christening. I chose a pink and rose theme for the cards. Megan's middle name is Rose so I thought it was a great theme.

The rose patterned papers were both stamped using Baby Blossom stamp set from Stampin' Up. I used Rose Red, Pretty in Pink and Pear Pizzazz ink pad also from Stampin' Up to stamp the rose elements. I also stamped the wording in Rose Red.

The edges of the card blank were punched with an Eyelet punch and the front wording panel with a Decorative Border punch both from Stampin' Up. I attached the invitation wording inside the card mounted on a darker pink card panel.

Lastly I wanted to share a photo of my lovely Megan. She'll be 11 months old this week. The weeks just fly by. She'll be one soon. She finds new things to do and explore everyday.
