Clare's weekly challenge

This is my card for Clare's Weekly Challenge on the DoCrafts website. This weeks challenge was a sketch challenge. The stamps, greeting and background papers I used are all from DoCrafts's 'Woodland Folk' range.

I begun by stamping the little animals, butterflies and tree image with a Memento ink pad. I coloured the images in with ProMarkers.

I covered a card blank with brown wood effect paper. I punched the edge of a strip of green paper with a XCut boarder punch. I layered up all the elements following the sketch. The animals and butterflies were added with foam pads.

To finish I added a greeting from the Woodland Folk decoupage set.

On your engagement

This is an engagement card I have made. It's for a couple who initials are both 'A' so that is why I used these letters on the front. To made this card I used my new craft gadget, a Gypsy.

I started by covering a card blank with lilac card. The white background design was cut from thick white paper using the Cindy Loo Cricut cartridge. The A's were cut using Gyspy Wanderings Cricut designs with came with the Gypsy. I cut the letters from lilac card and the shadow from white card. I added these to the card with foam pads.

I stamped the love wording and flourish design with Stampin' Up Tiny Tags stamp set. I punched out the tags using Stampin' Up Tag punch. I tied them to the letters with lilac ribbon. To finish I added a gem.

LOTV sketch challenge 77

This is my card for Lili of the Valley sketch challenge 77.

I begun by stamping the image. The stamp is 'Lazy Afternoon' by LOTV. It was stamped with a Memento ink pad and coloured in with ProMarkers. I added green Stickles to the leaves. I cut the image and the green frame out using Nestabilities. I distressed the edge of the image with a sponge dauber and So Saffron ink pad both by Stampin' Up. I added these panels onto a piece of brown card. I tore around the edges of the brown panel.

I cut a panel of green card and striped pattern paper. The paper is by Making Memories. I attached these to a card blank. To keep with the sketch I added strips of green and brown paper.

To finish I added a circle greeting by Craftwork Cards and faux-stitching with a white Sakura pen and a brown fineliner.

I begun my stamping the image using a Memento ink pad. The stamp is 'Here comes Christmas' by Penny Black. I coloured the image in with ProMarkers. I stamped the image twice again and coloured it in. I cut out sections which I added to the main image with foam pads.

For the snow on the ground I used Flower Soft Polar White and the snow in the sky is diamond Stickles. I mounted the image on a panel of silver card.

I cut a large panel of silver card for the background and mounted a panel of snowflakes patterned paper on top. I punched a strip of dark blue card with a Martha Stewart deep edge flower punch. Clare's weekly challenge - inspiration

This is my card for Clare's weekly challenge on the DoCrafts website. This week's challenge was an inspirational challenge. From the photos I used the colours and winter theme as my inspiration. The card was made using 'Classic Christmas' range of papers by Papermania.

The main image was mounted on a panel of silver card. I cut the holly from a sheet of patterned paper and added it to the main image with foam pads. I added red Stickles to the berries.

For the background I added a panel of patterned paper to a panel of silver card. Across the bottom right hand corner I added a strip of white ribbon. I tied a bow using the same ribbon which I added to the card with double sided tape and PVA glue. To finish the card I added gems to the corners and silver dots around the edges with a silver Sakura pen.

The Stamp Man Challenge 11

After the Christmas card 'break' I'm now starting to get back to taking part in some challenges. This is my card for The Stamp Man challenge 11. The theme of the challenge was Christmas but only using three colours. The colours I used are white, silver and turquoise.

I embossed two rectangles of white card with a snowflake design. I did this using my Cuttlebug and the Cuttlebug snowflake embossing folder. I attached these to a panel of light turquoise card. Across the centre of the panel I attached a strip of turquoise ribbon.

The centre greeting was cut out of white card using my Cricut. I removed the greeting and mounted the square that was left onto a scalloped edge square of light turquoise card. I added small silver dots using a silver Sakura pen.

I used my Cuttlebug and single snowflake cutting dies to cut out the individual snowflakes. The larger ones I added with brads and the other with Quickie glue. I added diamond Stickles to the snowflakes. To finish I added the panel to a card blank.

I have still been crafting...

Honestly! I know I haven't been on here much during the last month which I am sorry about. The main reason for this is that I left making my Christmas cards to the last minute (again) so I have knee deep in glitter and fake snow so the last few weeks. I really must start earlier next year!

These are a couple of my cards. There will be more to follow.

My first card uses Lili of the Valley's 'Baby's first Christmas' stamp. It was stamped with Memento ink pad and coloured in with ProMarkers. I stamped the image twice as I added some of the section again with foam pads. I used Nestabilities to cut out the image and frame. This was mounted on to panels or red and patterned card. I added a strip of red gingham ribbon a cross the panels. The greeting is by Craftwork Cards.

My second card uses Snoopy Decorated dog house stamp. Again it was stamped with Memento ink pad and coloured in with ProMarkers. This was mounted on to panels plain and patterned card. The greeting is by Craftwork Cards.

Lots of fun

These are two cards I've made using Little Claire's December Stamp Club set. In the set you get both elephant designs. I have made a boy card and a girl card.

This is my first card. I kept to a blue 'boy' colour scheme.

To start I stamped the images with a black Memento ink pad and coloured it in with ProMarkers. I added Glossy Accents to the pond to get a water effect. I used Nestabilities to cut out the image and the dark blue frame.

For the background I cut a square panel of dark blue card. Onto this I attached a square of patterned gingham paper. Across the corners I attached strips of white ribbon. On one of the ribbon strips I threaded a white button. I drew white and black stitching around the edges. To finish I stamped the greeting, which is also part of the Stamp Club set. The elephant image was added to the card with foam pads.

This is my second card. I kept to a pink 'girl' colour scheme.

Again the image was stamped with Memento ink pad and coloured in with ProMarkers. I added Glossy Accents to the water section. I used Little Claire's large scalloped dies to cut the large gingham and pink scalloped frames.

Around the edge of the scalloped frame I punched holes using a screw-punch. Through the holes I threaded pink ribbon. In the same ribbon I tied a bow which I attached with PVA glue.

On a card blank I stamped pink flowers in pink ink. Onto the card blank I added the scalloped frames and elephant image.
