This is my card I'm entering into the Craftwork Cards Flower Power Challenge that is running on their blog, http://craftworkcards.blogspot.com/

The theme of the challenge was to use flowers making ideas from the recent Flower Power week. Both the large and small flowers buds used techniques from that week. The flowers were made with Card Candy and pre-cut flower shape.

The circle greeting was from the Sugar & Spice range. I mounted this onto a circle of pink pattern paper from the same range. I cut a scalloped circle using Nestabilities. I added dots with a Sakura silver pen.

Sprinkles on a Cloud

This is my card for this weeks Passion for ProMarker challenge, http://promarkerchallenge.blogspot.com/ and Pink Gem challenge - Design Team Call, http://pinkgem-janet.blogspot.com/

Whilst looking through the Pink Gem website for an image I found Sprinkles On Cloud. It was such a cute image and it would also be ideal for this weeks ProMarker challenge too, as the theme was ‘fantasy/mythology'. The theme of the Pink Gem challenge was to use the colour combo of Pink, Green & Burgundy.

The image was a digi image which I downloaded from the Pink Gem website. I printed her out and she was coloured in with ProMarkers. I added Stickles to the stars and crown. I also printed out some additional stars with I added to the image. This complete image was mounted on dark green card.

I cut a large square of burgundy card for the main background panel. Onto this I attached a piece of pink pattern paper from DoCrafts Blueberry Hill range. The edge was punched using a Martha Stewart scallop 3-dot punch. I threaded cream ribbon through the holes and attached a small bow with PVA glue. The circle greeting is by Craftwork Cards.

I layered up the card with a strip of spotty paper by My Minds Eye. Onto this I attached a piece of burgundy ribbon.

To finish I added some flowers. The large flower is a white Prima coloured with was coloured with pink mica spritzer. The smaller flowers were cut with my Cricut. I used white paper for these and coloured them with ProMarkers so they matched the image. These were all attached to the card with brads.

Magnolia & Tilda

One of my favourite stamp companies is Magnolia. I love their little Tilda stamps. They are a joy to colour. You can see them coming to life as you add the colour to them.

I wanted to share some of the Tilda cards I've recently made. They were made as part of a raffle prize I put together for a friend.

All the images are stamped with a Memento ink pad and coloured in with ProMarkers. All the greeting are by Craftwork Cards.

My first card uses 'Tilda holding magnolias' stamp.

This card used 'Tilda with blueberries' stamp. I used a blue colour scheme for this card to be in keeping with the basket of blueberries that Tilda is holding.

For the last card I added crystal Stickles to the wings.

Clare's weekly challenge

This is my card for Clare's weekly challenge on the DoCrafts website, www.docrafts.co.uk.

This week was a photo inspiration challenge. The photo was on a red, white and black fishing boat in a harbour. So for my inspiration I used the colours and the harbour.

The three stamped image panels were creating separately using a Hobby Art set of stamps. I used Memento ink pad to stamp the three panels and then they were coloured in with ProMarkers. I used masking to create the three panels images. For more details on masking please see a previous post - http://kaardvark.blogspot.com/2010/05/habour.html

The three panels were mounted on a panel of black card. I also used panels of grey and red card which were in keeping with the colour theme.

To finish I added a circle greeting by Craftwork Cards.

Lili of the Valley challenge card

This is my card for this fortnights Lili Of the Valley challenge blog. The challenge was a sketch challenge.
http://liliofthevalleythursdaychallenge.blogspot.com/

The fairy stamp is 'Fairy on tiptoe' by Lili of the Valley. She was stamped with Memento ink pad and coloured in with ProMakers. I added highlights to the image with metallic Sakura pens. I also added small dots of crystal Stickles to the background. I used an oval nestabilities to her and the purple boarder out.

I cut a large square of purple card for the background. Onto this I added a panel of purple flower patterned paper from DCWV. The scalloped white panel was punched using Martha Stewart flower edge punch. Onto the panel I added crystal Stickles to add a bit of sparkle. I also attached purple ribbons and a bow across the card.

The greeting is by Stampin'Up. It was stamped using Stampin'Up white kraft ink. Above the bow I added three purple Card Candy by Craftwork Cards.

To follow the challenge sketch I added three flowers to my card. I made these flowers myself using a technique I learnt at my Stampin' Up card group. For more on the original flowers please see
http://card-delights.blogspot.com/2010/05/more-mini-cards.html

The flowers were made by punching six cirlces using my Stampin' Up scalloped circle punch. I punched two white, light purple and purple circles.

Between each scalloped you make a small cut. You then spritz the circles with water and scrunch up. You then unfold the circles and layer then up and form a flower shape. I used a brad to fold the layers together.

The Harbour

This is a card I've made for a friends birthday. Male card can be so tricky but this set of stamps by Hobby Art are ideal.

As usual I used a square card blank. I cut a square of smooth white card which I used to stamp on. I started by stamping the stone wall, followed by the boat, waves post and the the bird. I used Memento ink pad as I'm planning to colour in the image with ProMarkers.

I then stamped the first row of houses. I stamped all the houses again on Post-it-notes. I cut these houses out and used the shapes to mask off the first row of houses so I could stamp the smaller row of houses behind.

I coloured in the completed image with ProMarkers. I mounted the image onto black, krafts and brown card. To finish I added a birthday greeting.

Clare's weekly challenge

This morning I went to a local DoCrafts demonstration. I just couldn't resist their new goody bag. It was full of new DoCrafts papers, gems, stencil, pens and flowers. These are mostly from their new Henbury Lane range. The colours and designs are just my type of thing - flowery, pink, purples.

I used the goody bag to make my card for Clare's weekly challenge on the DoCrafts website, www.docrafts.co.uk. This week it was sketch challenge.

I started by stamping the rose onto watercolour paper. I used a VersaFine ink pad. I used watercolour pencil to colour it in. I cut the image out and mounted it on gold paper. I stamped some of the leaves again and attached them over the edge. I used a gold peel-off for the greeting.

I cut another gold panel and mounted a piece of Henbury Lane rose paper onto it. For the large pink background panel I stamped the rose stamp again with a clear VersaMark ink pad. I used white embossing power to heat emboss the rose image.

I layered up the card as per the challenge sketch. The pink strips are ribbon. To finish I attached the bow with PVA glue.

The little girl image is a stamp by Lili of the Valley, http://www.liliofthevalley.co.uk/ She was stamped with a Memento ink pad and coloured in with ProMarkers. This was mounted onto pink card. I punched the bottom edge with Stampin' Up scalloped punch. I used a screw punch to punch holes through these panel. I threaded pink ribbon throught the holes and attached a bow with PVA glue.

I cut a 2cm edge of the top right hand edge. On the inside back of the card I attached the little icons with a Quickie Glue pen.

I sanded top layer to expose the lighter coloured core. The pink circle is DCWV patterned paper.

The grey background paper is by Laura Ashley. This was mounted onto black card.I layered up the design as per the sketch. I added the prince frog and the wording 'Kiss me I'm a prince'. The wording was stamped with white Kraft ink pad by Stampin' Up.
